It's a tight course. Not a lot of water but a ton of mature trees which can get in the way of tee and approach shots.

Keep it in the fairway and it's a great day. Rough can get deep at times so stray shots will cost you. Back 9 is tougher but the front is no picnic.

Awesome course, great greens!

Leawood South was amazing to play. I really did not expect to find this course in Kansas but was pleasantly surprised. The rough was extremely challenging, the fairways were in pristine condition and the greens were excellent. One errant shot and you will pay the price.
I played in a women's event here and the scores were very high. It reminded me of a USGA event because even par was near the top of the leaderboard every day of the tournament.
If you are looking for a challenge, give Leawood a go! There are some elevation changes on a few holes which makes the course fun.
I would definitely recommend this course and area!
