Very Enjoyable Round
I was visiting Louisville with my wife. She was at a small convention and I was going to play golf Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday I played The Crossings and had a very enjoyable day. I arrived at the course over an hour before my tee time, and the counter guy was really nice and let me go off the back by myselt earlier than my tee time. I had a few surprises on the back because I did not know the course. When I made the turn to play the front, I hooked up with a twosome that played there often. Overall the course was a lot better that some of the bad reviews I read about this course. The twosome I played with told me it was built as a country club in the 80's. Then went bankrupt and has had a few owners since. If you are looking for a pristine golf course, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a good value and some challenging holes and pretty nice greens, you will enjoy The Crossings.
Disappointed
The course has some great potential but they need to look at the ground keeping. Multiple holes specifically 6 and 12 the greens were not taken care off. One looked like a car or truck drove over it and there was no more grass. The other was mud. The greens also looked like I was playing on a pga tour fairway.
Hole 13 or 14 looked as if a hayfield was just plowed and not picked up.
The course play was slow. 7-10 min to tee off starting after hole 4. The 3 some in front of me was slowed down by two groups in front of them but waited even longer to tee off.
Tee boxes were as head as a rock. Was disappointed after reading some of the reviews. I hope they update and maintain the course here soon.
All A’s. Affordable-Accommodating-Awesome
I booked an 8:52 tee time for Saturday for my Dad, myself, my brother and a buddy. I got there, and someone said, “are you here for the scramble”. …… I said, “that’s not good”.
I talked to the head pro. Turns out, I had accidentally booked SUNDAY at 8:52, and not only was the course closed to the public Saturday for a scramble, it was closed to the public for TWO scrambles!
Amazingly, Chris and his crew were able to squeeze our foursome in where there was a small gap within the first scramble. We teed off at 8:45, never got held up, and had an amazing outing.
The course was in good shape. The greens fee was crazy inexpensive and the customer service was clearly next level.
They saved the day and we’ll definitely play there more often!
Ehh
Fairways and rough were good. Greens were beyond slow. Held up by a 6 some and 5 some which is uncalled for.
Block tee times during scramble
Should not have given this tee time. Was put in middle of scramble and took 2 and a half hours to play 6 holes. Very disappointed!
Decent Round of Golf
Overall it's not a bad course! A few rough spots here and there on different greens but the majority of the grounds are well cared for. I plan on playing there again soon!
Great service, would go back!
We had awesome service at this course when we golfed a few weeks back. I can't remember the name of who exactly we spoke with, but they were very upfront about how the course had suffered a bit from water damage and is in the process of being repaired. As a beginner, I didn't think it was too bad to be honest. We'd definitely go back!
Great Value for the Money
Under new ownership, this course has came a long way. Some greens have issues, but given the hot summer this has been an issue for the majority of the courses in the area. Fairways and Tee Boxes are in great shape, the rough is cut low.
Course
The green were terrible, the course was ok, for the price it’s ok course.
