Took entirely too long to play !
It took entirely too long to play. The course was wide open except for the twosome in front of us.They were more concerned about their conversation than holding everyone else up or letting anyone pass.We had a long wait on every tee box.Frustrating! Turns out they were members.Go figure! We finished just after sundown. We still had a good time and will probably try the course again.
Measures short but elevted greens adds a club. Enjoyable.
The greens had been topped a few weeks ago and still a little bumpy. October...zoyza starting going dormant.
Avg course
Avg course with a very nice staff. With that said a ranger would help pace of play
Good play for the money
Course was in good condition and staff was friendly. Limited driving range..irons only, but balls were included with the deal. Did play a little slow the day we played but it was on a beautiful Friday late morning which may have had something to do with it.
great golf course is in great shape. One of the best i have played .
I like this golf course one of the best course i have played this year. The lay out is great. I will tell all my frinds this is the course you must play.
ONE OF THE BEST VALUES IN THE AREA !
Fairways and bunkers are in great shape, rough is fair.not too deep.
Course is in Great Shape
Terrific conditions for mid-Summer. OCCC is in the best shape that it has ever been. Tee boxes and fairways were pristine, greens rolled true - evidence of quite a bit of new attention and maintenance.
Would recommend to others
Liked the course. Excellent condition and would definitely play ther again.
Good value. Solid/average course. Nice staff. Relaxed atmosphere.
Course is not too difficult. Greens are averge in speed. Fairways mantained well. Good par 3's. Decent pace of play. OK value.
Very Nice Layout
I enjoyed playing this course. It was well maintained and the layout was suited to my game. Very few blind shots. Greens were in super shape! Other than the fact that it had rained for approximately 5 days prior and the course was "cart path only" the day I played, I would definitely play here again.
Very enjoyable course; fairways rather narrow, but balls can still be found quite readily in the "rough."
Good course. Just don't get stuck behind a league. 3-1/2 goes to 4-1/2 hours to play.
Played Fast!
Had a tee time about noon. Played as a single and played through a couple of groups. Made it through in 2 hours and 40 minutes. Course in good shape.
A fun and challenging track
The course was in great shape and its one that has tremendous character.,. particularly the back nine. I used every club in my bag that day.
Blind shots and needs some work
The front 9 of OCCC has at least 5 holes with blind shots - 3 to greens and 2 off of the tee. I'm sure that it gets better if you play there all of the time, but for a first-time player it becomes very tiring. Couple that with the ant hills covering several of the tee boxes, the course was not exactly inviting. #9 is a very picturesque hole to end the front 9 on, but other than that I would not recommend playing this course if you have other options.
Great course!!!
If you live here and haven't played Oldham Co CC? Go play. Nice fairways, easy, good scoring, fun course. You don't need driver everywhere!!! Great greens! Great bunkers! Well maintained and you can get away with some bad shots.... I'll play it again... For sure!!!
A DAY of Golf
Played OCCC today and course is in reasonable condition, staff are friendly and cordial but that is where it ends. The clubhouse attendant was "surprised" that I asked for a raincheck after a 3:10 min front nine. There was a 2 group wait on every single hole (all 9). Not a mashall to be seen but they rate the course at 4:15. I received the rain check, but doubt it will ever get used.
Great course
The staff is very friendly. The practice balls included in the price is a nice plus an provides for a great warm up before the round. The course is always in great shape and is an enjoyable loop.
This course is well maintained
I have no complaints about this course except the yardage markers on most holes were incorrect; sometimes by 20 yards.
Great value for the money!
The greens were in great shape. Rolling true and a little quick. The course is in great shape overall. Fairways are nice and wooded areas are cleared to keep pace of play good. Rough is a little high at times, so be sure to watch your ball (if your there). Course plays well from the blues, so no need to move up unless you are short knocker (6200 from blues). Two long holes over 400 but rest are ok. Par 5's are fair and reachable for longer hitters.
not a bad day...
other than the fact that there was a group of 7 (members) playing together several holes ahead of us, it was a great day of golf. As you can guess, the front 9 we played in about an hour and forty-five minutes...the back nine, well, not so much...almost 3 hours. That was the only disappointing part of the day...the course was in really good shape for early in the season!!
