Elkhorn Golf Course

About
Step into another world at Elkhorn Golf Course (formerly known as Elkhorn Valley Golf Course). Nestled in a small valley a few miles from the towering old growth forests of the Opal Creek Wilderness, Elkhorn offers 18 challenging holes of golf in one of the Pacific Northwest's most spectacular natural settings. Joining the award-winning front nine -- which has captivated golfers of all abilities -- are the nine new holes to enhance your experience and test your mettle. The back nine continues the Elkhorn tradition, taking advantage of natural topography and hazards that make it a special place. Canyons, streams and wetlands, and tall stands of trees, with the sights and sounds of wildlife all around.

The course is tough. Very beautiful setting.
Greens were in great shape but the fairways needed attention.

Great place to play
I have been going to Elkhorn for 20 years now, it is always in fantastic shape and the views are nothing short of stunning. The course is in as good as shape as ever.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone. Bring some extra golf balls, I don't care how good you are, you will loose some.
Beautiful setting
It is a gem in the mountains east of Salem, OR. Very fun course to play.
Challenging holes
Great place to play several challenging holes. Hitting the fairways is a must to good scoring. Beautiful setting....
Very hard. Bring lots of balls.
My pride can only take Elkhorn once in a while but if anyones comes to Salem from another state and wants to play I choose Elkhorn, Salem, and maybe Langdon for the weekend. Can't say enough about what a treat the course is or what an event playing feels like.
beautiful course well off the beaten path
still a great course, not as well maintained as years past.this course was once a jewel, and could be again, it needs someone with enough money to bring it back to buy it before it is lost forever.
