Very enjoyable course. Staff were helpful and friendly. Course is scenic and challenging.

I forgot my bag at the bag drop when I left.

They said they held bag for me to retrieve.When I arrived they were very nice and brought my bag to my car and placed it in my trunk.

Upon arriving home I found that one of the two drivers in the bag was missing.

I played on Thanksgiving and had a great round! Being in a hurry to reach my destination for Thanksgiving dinner. I forgot my clubs at the drop off after the round.

Didn't realize I did this till the next day when I was to play again with my Brother.

I called the pro shop and was informed that they had my clubs in storage and I could pick them up on my way back through the area.

As I have a good relationship with the cart staff and starters it was a pleasant surprise to have them waiting for me to arrive.

Thanks to the entire golf staff for the extra effort.

Staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. Course is challenging but very scenic and was in great condition.

One grip is , I played a 5 hr 25 min round. No Marshall was seen on the course to have golfers be more mindful of the stake up behind them. . Every hole had a 2 or sometime 3 group back up. It wouldn't be so bad if they managed groups of the first box. There was a mix of one-some, two-somes and groups of 4 going off the first tee. I know the staff is being friendly, but letting golfers already paired in a four-some to choice to break away at the first tee and having other two-somes choose to start on back nine creates a mismatch that results i a roller-coaster of a pace.

The course is fun and very good shape. Back nine is more open and easier and the greens and bunkers are as good and you can expect for the end of the season . I would love to play again but I won't anytime some. I was in a group of two, passing slower golfers was not an option when you can see 3 groups staked up in front of you. Just hated the 4 to 6 min wait at each tee box.

Great course, reasonable prices and the people that work at the course are amazing. Bob in the pro shop, Dave the starter, Micheal the guy out front that helps with carts. They are all wonderful, friendly people. I will be back soon

You see the Nicklaus name and think grandeur, well don't. It's a modest layout with very few interesting holes. 5 par 5's are fun, but all in all it's nothing compared to Potomac Shores which is the next closest Jack course. In terms of course conditions I found the bunkers to be the best part of the course. The long grass on the slow greens and undefined cut lines all around give you a course just a bit better than your average muni.

We made Rocky Gap our last stop on our annual trip again this year. As always, the layout and staff were top notch. We were fortunate to have Ranger Mike stop by and chat with us about the history of the course. The only knock we have on a yearly basis with this course is…THE GREENS! They are always cut way too high and by the time we play in the afternoon, ball marks and cleat marks almost completely take over. This course would be Maryland’s finest if the greens were cut shorter and better kept (mostly by other golfers). However, for $50, we will certainly be playing it every year!

Very interesting and fun Nicklaus layout. Conditions are deplorable. Tees haven’t been moved in weeks, pins not changed in weeks, fairways not mowed, bunkers inconsistent. It is sad as I recall this course when freshly opened was pristine. Guess the casino draws enough business the golf course doesn’t matter?
