Rocky Gap Casino Resort

This is a very nic3e course, but I have two beefs. Conditioning when we played it was not up to standard. Grass was long on the tees and fairways, as iif the course had not been cut for days. Secondly, while it's a beautiful layout, none of the holes has a view of the lake or the mountainside directly behind it, which is a bummer, because the lake is so scenic. Even the golf hole in the photo for Rocky Gap isn't actually on the golf course. It's part of the driving range.

Was coupled with another 2 some that we didn’t need to be paired with right before tee time.

Marshal was smug and condescending.

The rest of the play was excellent.

Most of staff friendly and helpful with positive attitudes

Absolutely perfect weather on our first time playing this course, 75 in the middle of June. Front 9 was beautiful and well maintained. The back 9 has been sprayed or fertilized??? resulting in the fairways being a weird bright green/blue color. It was still fine, looked a little strange but didnt effect playability. Greens were very nice, rolled quicked but not TOO fast. Golf carts were awesome with a personal ball and club washer and cooler attached to the side as well as a large GPS display in the rearview mirror area. The GPS would also not allow you to drive past any NO Cart areas near the greens, it would sound a warning and cut power if you got too close forcing you to reverse course. Overall a very nice course, it didnt quite live up to my heightened expectations as it was my first Jack Nicholas designed course but for $55 midweek on GolfNow it was above average of other courses Ive played in that price range. Had a great time and enjoyed the course and as a bonus got in a few hands of blackjack in the casino after the round.

I love this place. I drive up from Lancaster, PA. A few times a year and it's always worth it. I'm an 8 handicap and the course is challenging and fair. Greens today where excellent. I'll be back very soon.

Loved the course, but the cart girls are terrible. It was 11am and they had no food. Saw them twice the whole day and there was a girl for each 9. Pathetic!!

Pace of play surprising under 4 hours, greens were recently sanded but still rolled true at a good pace. Tee boxes a bit rough, fairways were nice, rough was cut where it was playable. 3/4 gimmicky holes(white) where one couldn't hit driver, but overall a nice course, nice scenery, and the staff was attentive.

very nice course, wish it wasn't so expensive at least for the locals.

Great staff normally very accommodating course

Today we played behind a few groups from a bachelor party. It was extremely slow play.

Course Marshal was very accommodating and generous inviting us to play more often.

As the course was just opening from a tough winter everything was good considering

Me and four friends played Rock Gap golf course on Wednesday 11/25/2020 and had a great time. The course was actually in great shape for the time of the year. The only negative is the greens were a bit slow and rough! We will definitely play it again soon!

People were very nice upon arriving tournament was being held and was very crowded on other 9. The driving range was closed which was odd the cart girl wasn’t out there until noon which was odd and the bar wasn’t open until noon which was odd
