Good round
The dry weather has taken its toll on the course but we had a great round of golf. Some holes were quite challenging and some TLC is needed.
Course was a very slow pace . 5:1/2 hours to play around of golf is hard to do
Great shape
First time playing this course. Friendly staff who even took time to give me a book and course overview.
The Marshall kept the players moving.
Green were quick.
Looking forward to next time
Great Course, Staff Frequently Ruins Experience
I have been playing this course regularly since I was 16. I am now 24 and while the course is always in pretty good shape, the older male staff does not show any respect towards their customers. I’ve told myself I will never come back because of how many negative experiences I have had at this golf course, being a quiet, respectful individual. I work in customer service personally and just would rather spend my money at a course when my business is at least appreciated. I will say however, the women who work in the kitchen never fail to brighten your day after dealing with the crabby old men.
Rude staff makes the experience unpleasant
Ok to start off the course was in very good shape considering the lack of rain. They were watering the greens ahead of us. The round was also a little slow but I was enjoying my company so I was ok. Now for the not so good. I'm a local guy and over the years I've played over 80 rounds at the wetlands. Now I finally have to complain about an issue that has been going on for years. The staff are rude and in some cases unprofessional. The owner works the front all the time and he must hate his job. He is mean and nasty all the time. He talks down to you and doesn't treat you like he's happy to have your business. To top is all off none of the staff and restaurant employees are wearing maskes with all this covid-19. However the starter was wearing gloves. I keep telling myself I'm never playing here again because of the service. There are so many more options so this just might have been my last round ar wetlands.
I never hate it
Best value for your money in the area, let me get that out of the way first. Course conditions are always fine; it’s not Bulle Rock or Mountain Branch, but the greens are up there with those more prestigious courses in the area. Practice range is ok, irons only; not that it is really enforced, causing problems on 1st tee, 2nd green and 9th fairway/green.
Course itself is challenging but fair, many holes are stacked next to one another; causing back ups on different holes as people look for their balls two holes over, thus causing the groups on those holes a delay as well. This brings me to the negative, pace of play. If you aren’t off early it’s a 4.5 hour round on a good day, have had rounds pushing 5.5 hrs. Given the layout it is going to happen; but specially at the value.
But overall it is a good course that is a great value.
Fairways and greens are in good shape but the tee boxes need to be cut grass is to long it like your playing out of rough. For the money they charge it should be in better shape to me it's 40.00 dollar course not 57.00
Watch the charges!
We booked a hot deal time for $5 less than normal fee, but later realized we were charged an extra $5 for the cart fee and ended up paying the same as the non hot deal rate. $15 per person cart fee!
The course itself was alright. Most of the fairways and roughs were well kept but the greens were not in the best condition and led to some inconsistent putting.
Nice local course
Really slow round on Memorial Day. Over 5 hours. ranger could have pushed pace a little better. Greens in nice shape.
Good course
The course has a good layout and challenging. The greens were in pretty good shape for the first month being open for regular play. This course also has a grass range which is rare for the area.
65 degrees in January
It rained the entire night before. We tees off at 11:30 and the course was in great condition for the middle of January in Maryland. Staff was great and the course played very well. If you have the chance play this course it’s fun
Cold frozen ground
Not much too say nice course challenging but fair . Ground was frozen but I expected that . Balls just bounced off greens .it got warmer on the back nine so it helped thaw out . All in all good day
