The Wetlands Golf Course

I play Wetlands about once per month and this is not the same course as 2 years ago. There are very noticeable improvements in the quality of tee boxes and fairways, and the off fairway areas don't look so "rough" anymore. Maintenance has greatly improved and the course is in nice shape, certainly equal to all but a few of the very best courses in the Northern Maryland-Southern PA area. The cost for weekend play is an extraordinary value. The layout is interesting and the landing areas for 200-250 yard drives is generous. No long par 3's so average players can hit the greens and put for par. Only 1 or 2 blind shots on the entire course so you can see what's in front of you. Great for a family outing as the course is fair to all levels of player.

Course conditions are always nice, and this facility offers challenge without being unfair or a daunting layout. Have booked each round through Golf Now and paid excellent price. Played approx 4-5 times in last 60 days and enjoy it more on every occasion. Starter was very friendly, but front counter staff always seems a little rude. Also, while greens are well maintained they are always very slow, even for muni course. Last, the Ranger needs to monitor pace better, not out enough.

This is an attractive, midrange public course easily accessible to I-95. It has a low-key vibe to it and the layout is sufficiently challenging. Unfortunately, on the day I went, I had a limited time window and was assured the course was fairly open. However, it got very crowded very quickly (on a Friday afternoon) and I wasn't able to finish my round. From other reviews, it looks like pace of play is an ongoing issue. Conditions were good and the price is reasonable.

This was a decent course with medium speed greens. Fairly open but lookout for water!

I enjoy this course, but the staff seems to frown upon GolfNow Hotdeals. I understand that they're not getting as much money, but if they don't want to participate in the program they shouldn't.

Staff very friendly, starter kept things moving, depending on your tee box selection, look of holes vary, including degree of difficulty. Greens rolled nice, and with the bends and turns, there were a lot of risk and reward shots available to you.I would go back again.

Waited 20 minutes on first tee while starter sent single after single down to tee box. Also they sent a twosome on ten right as we made turn, making us wait nearly fifteen more minutes as the twosome ate lunch on tee box, then proceeded to zigzag fairway over and over. Complained to the starter and he said "those two do that". So you knew they were going to hold up everyone but decided to send them out ten anyway with several foursomes behind. Thanks. The starter just doesn't take cart signatures. Poor experience unless you are a member.

Nice course but the pace of play was horrible. Tee off started before 9am and the round finally finished a few ticks short of 2 o'clock. The Marshall did not Marshall at all. Only drove by several times (none of which did he encourage a faster pace of play). The course was completely open upon arrival but the starter opted to have multiple foursome tee off 5 mins apart.

The course is VERY green for this early in the season. Greens were rolling pretty fast. Pace of play was excellent.

Enjoyed playing the course it was in very good condition and the weather was great. If you are playing this course for the first time I would suggest going on line and reviewing what is written about the holes on the course as you cannot always tell where you should hit your drives. The only draw back was the person running the pro shop complaining that we booked on line and did not pay the full price for the course.

Greens were very good and fast, fairways and tee boxes were excellent.

Played in early spring following a morning frost. Course was in excellent shape and we finished in under 4 hours which is real good for our foursome. Much improved golf experience from what I remember about past rounds here. Condition, staff attitude, pace have been negatives in past. Hope this trend will continue. I like the course. Easy par threes.

Wow! Played with 3 other golf now patrons and we had a great time. Course was in good shape. Distances are fair for all handicaps. Very low key. Come out and play!

The wetlands golf course of course I've played many times for many years I always enjoyed myself found in the very clean and neat property

This course is hidden away enough for a nice quiet round of golf. The course is not in amazing shape but the fairways and greens seem to have a good year. The ground was a little hard with the cold morning and the rain softened it up for somewhat of a good movement on the ball. The practice range was set up well. The course does play a bit long on the first hole and a few on the back nine. The key to this course is to just swing easy since it is fairly open and the trees are not too filled with high grass. Beware of the few marsh areas and you should be able to score a great round.

First time at this course. Although it was about a 50 minute drive for me it was well worth it. Considering the time of year and very little rain within the last few weeks the course was in very good shape. The greens and fairways were in top condition. The course is not terribly difficult but there were enough hazards to make it challenging. I will definitely book a tee time again.

The course is right of I-95 near Aberdeen, Md. Very scenic and challenging to play. The course was in good condition given the recent drought. All players and staff were very friendly and helpful. Following my round with the price of my beverage, complimentary unlimited wings and cheese sticks on their deck with a good guitar player were provided. All in all a very enjoyable round. Definitely worth the ride f you live within 30 miles, or a stop if traveling through as I was.
