Good course layout. Bad conditions
This is my second time playing Ruggles. The fairways are not mowed low enough so they mind as well be the rough. The greens were rock solid for putting. The staff when I showed up we’re upset that I booked as a solo and was taking a cart for myself? For the price in this area there is much better deals. I will not be back anytime soon.
Some spot of the green are bold that may require for erecting
Majority of the staff were friendly particularly Dave and Josh.
Basic golf
Basic no frills golf. Head Pro Dave C does a great job with the obviously low budget. Played on a hot deal so can’t complain too much. Worst thing for me are the teeboxes that are full of crab grass. Hard to find the right height for your tee shot. (See pics) My cart was in rough shape but made it all the way around with no problems.
Great layout and a true challenge from the tips. Will definitely return this summer.
Basic golf with no frills
Ruggles is a great layout but clearly struggle with lack of money. Tee boxes are a mess. See pics. Greens were is good shape but super slow but it had just rained so not sure they could cut them. Grant course to walk
High marks for Ruggles Golf course
Golf was excellent. Course is in great shape. The only complaint is that the restaurant was not open for lunch.

Course is in great shape, pace of play is very good and bunkers are playable. Will be back soon!
inexpensive easy course with rough staff and bad lessons
Had a similar experience to another player. Played once and the course was a bit rough, but playable for most of the holes. I decided to sign up for lessons. The guy doing lessons was a boisterous big guy who just couldn't make the time but was happy to take my money. I had one of my set and it took a month to schedule it and i work a normal job and am free weekends so it wasn't anything abnormal in the times. The first lesson was okay, but he was on his phone some and not paying attention and the lesson was generic. After 2 months trying to schedule the next one and often getting no response i gave up. I asked for a refund and was told no refunds sorry. I'm really not happy about this. I should have pushed harder like the other person did. The course is long and flat and fairly easy. the lessons, not an easy experience.
Good Course
Course was in good shape considering over an inch of rain the night before. Good job to the grounds crews. Always a great place to play.
