Oakland MD Golf Course
Celebrating our 40th anniversary, my husband and I had a great round of golf at Oakland Golf Course. The course is in really good shape as we have had quite a bit of rain. The bar afterwards was new and the people were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely play again.
Great staff. Good value
Exceptional staff and a fun course with a nice lay out. Fairways were a little high but overall this is a MUST course for anyone playing golf in Western MD.
Western Maryland gem
Excellent old school golf course with great views and small, superbly maintained greens. Great value for the money
Undulating fairways
Fairways are well groomed but very undulating which affects you lie and stance, challenging. Greens on the back 9 are postage stamps, again challenging. Greens held and rolled true, enjoyable round.
Great Price
Got a great deal, $15/person on GolfNow so can't complain too much. But the greens were aerated and sandy. Large groups of bachelors around us with balls flying from all directions was slightly distracting. Older facilities then most. But factoring in the price, it was a good day. Would not pay full price for quality of course

The course was very well manicured and the greens were true. ... Staff were very friendly and accommodating. .. I would recommend this course for the value....
Good Course
Good course in decent condition, very small greens on the back nine. Well worth playing this course.
Not for beginners in my opinion
Front nine has some very challenging holes and the back nine has very small greens, at least in comparison to the front. We visit the Deep Creek area every year around this time and always try to run over to Oakland for a round of golf.
Holds up nicely even in wet weather
Great course for an even better price. Even after torrential downpours, it was well maintained. Will play again.
Very slow greens
Not sure if it was because of the rain but the greens were very slow and inconsistant speeds
Plays longer then posted yardage
Greens are small, but true, Fairways need work, although it is a country course. The tee boxes need a lot of work. Played from whites and some of the holes are very long. The price on line was very good, but cost at course is very high. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The course is open and very playable.The staff is friendly.
This is a very nice course particularly for a municipal course. The fairways are open but the rough makes you pay the price if you don't hit the fairway. The greens were fast to moderately fast. The staff was friendly and helpful., There seem to be a lot of programs for the locals., My wife felt the course was more welcoming to women than most courses. Overall a good value for the money.
