Best condition in years!
Course was excellent and staff was great. Sand traps were ok but he greens are exceptional. Great value!
Decent Duffer
The course is a rural municipal course but it is fun to play although a bit long from the white tees for most casual golfers. Quite hilly so you want to take a cart. Fairways and greens were in great shape and while there are holes that are narrow most are forgiving.. It was a great day for golf even if the scores were not that great.

Great round
Played for the first time. Knew it was here but never played. Glad I took the time. Great staff. Had the round of my life. Will play anytime I am in town. Hearing rumors the back 9 may be closing. I sure hope not.

This establishment provided me a great experience overall. I played on the first great weather weekend and while it was packed the pace did not show slow play. It was very enjoyable. I’ll be coming back with buddies from Morgantown next time.
Would never pay full price
Got a 10 dollar deal on golf now. Staff was very nice. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the Round. The tee boxes were in rough shape. The fairways were high and looked like they haven't been touched in weeks. The rough was unnecessarily thick. For begginers I would say good luck to try to advance a ball from it.. if you can even find your ball. The greens were the only saving grace for this course. They rolled very nice and rolled true. I would recommend going elsewhere and paying a little more than the golfnow deals for a better golf experience. I cannot Imagine paying full price (37 dollars I think) for the quality of golf course.
Greens were fantastic. The course was great, staff was super, made it a great golf day!

weatern maryland gem
If your visiting deep creek lake take the short drive to Oakland to play this course. The back nine is old school from the 30's design. Not sure when the front was built but its more standard modern golf. The back nine has micro small greens calling for old school keep it low chips. not a lot of slope on them but you will need to be accurate on 2nd shots to be putting..The greens on the entire course are in excellent condition and a little on the slow side. The ball goes where you putt it very true roll. The front is more tradition modern design and nicely laid out. the course is not long, but play from the tees you should to get some good looks at pars and birdies, staff could not be nicer. did not eat but the food looked pretty good. great fun great course. not pricey, what more could you want. play it
