Great Hope Golf Course

Excellent course. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The course was in fantastic condition, the weather was perfect. Best course for the money in Maryland.

the course had not been mowed for sometime.rough was 4 to 6 inches and greens rolled about 4 on the stimp.

We played as a twosome and the two foursomes ahead of us let us play through with no problems. Course was is good shape with just a few greens still showing some airation dimples.

This is a very decent course. BUT... no way this is a top 10 course in Maryland. Every single course in OC Maryland beats this course by a mile. Greens are terribly slow, fairways are spotty and long. Don't get me wrong it is a nice little public course. But to say it's "#2 in Maryland" couldn't be further from the truth. Lots of employees must me posting their reviews every few days which is very misleading. Would only play here when I'm trying to save a few bucks

Very nice golf course on road to Crisfield Md about 5 minutes off Rt 13. Course in very good condition and weather was excellent for this time of year. Plenty of wildlife around the course including many deer and at least 6 eagles. Staff was super and informative. Will play gain for sure.

i have played this course several times this year and will continue to play it for the price i get on Golf Now.

Great course never to crowded and very challenging. 4 sets of tees. One of the best on the eastern shore

Definitely worth the hour drive from O.C. green fees were very reasonable, the course had a nice layout. The food was homemade, delicious and cheap!

14 holes are "wide open", 4 holes tree lined, an interesting combination.

Greens were recently aerated, so putting surfaces were not consistent but they should be fine in another week or two.

Course was in good shape and pace of play was steady. Great lunch deals in the clubhouse!

Course was in excellent condition and the round was very enjoyable, just wish I scored better. Rough was tough and made hitting the fairway a premium.

The Course was in good condition. The staff is super friendly. They take great care of their greens. They run very true. The pace of play is very steady. I have never had to wait too long, and when I do, I am usually invited to play through. For what you pay on golf now, it is one of the best for your buck around here.

My my group was able to play eighteen holes with a cart for 18.50 a piece. The course was very soggy because of all the rain we have had. Some balls in the fairway were unplayable because of water. A few greens were patchy but I saw staff working on one of those greens. Except for a few greens the course was in good shape. We will definitely be back!

Nice layout in good condition friendly personnel equal a great value better than other surrounding course ! Need to go

The course was wet from rain and in the late afternoon 1530 -1600 holes 10 and eleven are totally into the sun making finding your balls difficult unless they are straight as arrows. We skipped them and moved on to 12 so we could see. We finished just before dark however since there are trees it can be difficult to see if the sun gets too low.

Great Hope is the only course in Somerset County and a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trip for someone who plays around the region. Minimalism is the calling card here all around as the overall facility is rather bare bones and the landscaping keeps it simple, but there is great golf to be played here. The conditions, and particularly the greens are conditioned phenomenally. That alone doesn't make a great course, but the layout is definitely up to scratch as well. It as well is more minimalist, but the challenges are certainly varied enough and Dr. Hurdzan overall was able to create a course that is navigable for the first-timer but challenging for the low-handicapper, all the while never getting stale. It's not as good as some of the famed courses by Ocean City, but it's definitely somewhere worth checking out if you want to explore the Shore a bit and try something new.

Enjoyed a quick round on a holiday weekend which was nice. I play here often and the course has been in better shape but it has been a high use course. They recently pulled plugs on greens so they were tough to putt well on. Overall it's was a great value though still.

For the $16 special it was a great course. The course was very wet from rain the night before but still played nicely. The greens and tee boxes were slightly worse than what I am accustomed too but for the price you cant beat it. It is an open course so it is a good confidence booster.

Has become one of my favorite courses, I am a member of another course 30 minutes away, using this course as a break from home course, thinking about membership here next year.course is always in great condition, on par with expensive course only doesn't cost as much to play
