It's not often I put a divot in the green, but I took the complimentary tool and low and behold I needed it! Photo submitted by O2GrampaThom on 10/05/2019
Nice friendly course
Awesome friendly staff. The course is pretty easy to navigate. Only thing that I didn't like was no water stations or porta pottys were around the back holes. The course isn't huge so it's not a big deal to drive over to the pro shop and use the bathroom quickly. I played in the morning (around 8:30) and for about the first 4 holes we pretty much had the course all to ourselves. Would recommend.
Will play again
Good layout, greens were in great condition though fairways are a work in progress. Clubhouse and, tiki bar great. This club has great potential, we will definitely play again.
Nice clubhouse, below average course conditions
The holes that can be seen from the clubhouse are in good shape, probably because they have a lot of weddings and need to keep it looking nice. Once you get out of sight of the clubhouse the conditions go down hill fast. Tee boxes are terrible. Fairways and greens away from the clubhouse are poor. The others are decent.
Much improved!
Had not played here in a couple years and the work they have been putting into the course is paying off. Greens were excellent and the fairways much improved and very playable. The outdoor bar is awesome and the food was very good at the turn. The course is a good value for the $. Looking forward to playing there again soon.
Family Atmosphere...Amenities...Nice Blend of Both!
Forget about how far this place has come since the last few years of neglect. They continue to strive here to improve and they are succeeding. Greens were recovering from aerification and tee boxes are a ways from perfection...still was enjoyable especially for the people who I brought here knowing what to expect. They were a true golf family and they enjoyed themselves...especially the 19th hole which is worth the trip by itself...staff are unsurpassed in every regard of customer service...Thank You...I'll be back just for this alone because the course will continue to get back to where it should be very soon with the obvious effort they are putting into it.
Great track.....this is a hidden gem
I came across this course looking for something different in my area. It's a 9 hole track, but found that I hit nearly every club in my bag. Conditions are good, and getting better from what I've heard. I wouldn't be put off by the scorecard yardage, as it's a bit is deceiving; only 3,000 from the back tees, but plenty of tight shots and risk/reward decisions. Nice greens. Overall, a great facility and plenty of nice folks on staff. I'll be back.

Good features
For a 9 hole course it's quite difficult
Narrow fairways
Greens. Do not hold the ball
Good challenge
Beware
Luckily we played on a cool day because there are no coolers with water on this course. They sell water bottles but they are $2 a bottle! I've never played a course that didn't provide water before so maybe it's just me. The layout is interesting and some of the holes are a challenge. The green are extremely fast but other players do not repair divots and it's like they drag their feet leaving marks all over the green. The tee boxes are not in good shape. They aren't level or they are dried out, very hard that you may break a tee trying to put it in the ground. Or the tee boxes are muddy. Even though the staff is friendly and the 19th hole is fantastic...it would be worth a visit without playing golf here. The problem is this is a golf course and it wasn't very satisfying.
Solid course...great bar area after
Decent shape Once off fairway tho kinda tough shape. Tight course but solid for the price. Great after golf drinking/eating area. Like a resort...seriously
PERFECT GOLF VENUE
We just started playing at this course for our Friday Night Couples league and we couldn't be happier. The course conditions are great and the staff has bent over backwoods to accommodate our every need. We all would highly recommend this facility for golf, food and an enjoyable outdoor Tiki Bar.
Pleaent Experience
They are working very hard to make Hillside a nice place to play and they are almost there. The staff are already top notch and the amenities are pretty much perfect. For a nine hole course I think it's really nice and with the weather we have had this summer...I will definitely play there again soon. It has a Country Club feeling which is different than most public tracks. Kudos!
Perfect
$8 for 18 holes and a cart. Bartender was awesome, course towards the last couple of holes was nice to hit the driver. A couple of nice tight holes. Great bang for the buck the only downside is that it's only a 9 hole course but play the blues around the 2nd time and two holes play differently.
Home course now
Course has improved so much. The greens are in great shape. The fairways don't have the trenches where they put irrigation in last year. That's all filled in with grass. Make sure to grab a drink at the bar after a bad round like mine.
Vast improvement
First time playing this course since living at home in high school. It is incredible how much better the course looks and plays today compared to 5 years ago. Greens, fairways, everything improved. New outdoor bar is great too. I will back next time I come to town!
Def would come back..
Clubhouse is beautiful, course is pretty well maintained with the exception of some areas but would def come back as well as recommend it to a friend.
Fist time out this year
Things just getting started at this course. after a lot of rain in the last couple of weeks . The crew has don't a great job to get it ready. rough is a little deep. Employees could not be nicer. Nice carts and a great price. Nine hole that you play twice with choice of 4 tees.
Hillside League
We started our league the beginning of 2016 soon after the course installed irrigation throughout the course. Prior to that, the course conditions had a lot to be desired. Since the installation of irrigation, the course has made a dramatic improvement. Fairways are lush and the rough is long and tough. Greens are all in great shape. The only negative, is the tees could use some help and there are areas around the course that are extremely wet. Great value for the $$$.
Slow play
Hillside allowed 6 guys and 3 carts to play together, resulting in very slow play, starter was notified, he stated that the group of 6 were going to let the couple in front of me and me go ahead of them, it never happened.
If there is a problem with the course, I would love to hear about it. This way management can address the problem at hand and make for an enjoyable course for everyone, Thank you
Nice little course
I've played there several times, even though it's only 9 holes ( but I play 18)and it's about 3o miles from my home. I enjoy playing it because it's never been crowded. Since I'm retired and only play weekdays, maybe the reason, but it has some challenging holes and it's a great course to work on my game. Great value! I recommend it.
We are very sorry for the pace of play at the time you played Hillside. We never allow more than four sums out on the course. When this happened, it was without consent from the Pro Shop. However, the Ranger should have taken better control of the situation
