Worst course in Rehoboth
Places is an absolute joke. Worst course I’ve ever played at
First time
This is the first time I have played this course. I was pleasantly pleased with the overall condition of the course did not expect much based on the price for nine holes good value for the price
Ugh.
This course is in very poor condition. There is no grass on many of the tees (you’re basically trying to put a tee into hard dirt ) , and the third hole is mostly dirt and rocks. Lots of litter in the woods, although the farm animal sounds from the neighbors does add some fun. It could be such a nice course with a little TLC, The prices are comparable for other local courses, but because of the condition, it’s best to stay away. And be aware that playing 18 holes, is two rounds of nine.
Best 9 holes
My boyfriend and I prefer 18 holes and paid online for 18 not realizing that it was just 9 holes twice. But it was so fun both times. Would def come back
Hillside
course was in poor condition some parts of fairways just dirt, not kept very well at all
won't return
Under construction
I hate being negative but this course should be closed until it’s back up to speed. In mid October most of the tee boxes were under construction and there was more dirt on some fairways than grass. The 9 hole layout is great and we weren’t rushed at all. We actually played 2 balls on a few holes just because there was no rush and I was working on some things. The guy at the counter was very friendly and the carts were clean and ran well. I just wish it was in better shape.
What To Expect
For about the price of a bucket of balls I played the course so just don’t expect much. Greens were furry, tee boxes were closed and the fairways were sparse on grass and the carts were beat up. The good news was the food was fantastic and the off course amenities are great. Even got to meet one of the owners who is trying to make improvements.
A very rough track
Played Hillsdale with three friends on Wednesday. Interesting layout but course is rough. Appears they only have irrigation for the greens. Tee boxes were closed and teeiing areas were horrible. All tee colors in one spot. Fairways were inconsistent with large areas of hardpan and dirt. Greens were lush but , mowed inconsistently. All were slow but some were extremely slow. Won 18 holes for a foursome with cart in an auction and if I had known the course I would not have bid. People were friendly but my ball was stolen on one hole and on another it was picked up 20 yards from green by someone playing adjacent hole. I asked him to put it back where he found it and he placed it directly behind a bush! Not good. This golf course is obviously not investing money back into course.
Tough shape
Dirt tee boxes, Slow hairy greens. Good course for beginners.
Fine for the money
There were no tee boxes to speak of, they were all being rehabbed. Greens were all in decent shape, a little long so we're a bit slow but all in good shape. Fairways were hit or miss. Staff was great. Layout is a little wonky. Lots of sort holes. With a little more upkeep could be a nice course.
Great value
Fall season so all tee boxes are makeshift right now. Fairways are average however the greens rolled well. .
Great layout. True New England golf!
Unexpected challenge!
Myself and three colleagues have an annual match and chose to play here. We were impressed with the overall challenge of the course, even though the tee boxes and fairways were in need of attention. When we finished our rounds we went to their restaurant and enjoyed great food and drink. It was a great day and looks like we have a new place for our annual match.
Good experience
First time playing the course and I'd go back again. Overall the course was in good shape. The fairways were in good shape, greens were in very good shape, but the tee boxes were in sad shape. A few had no grass left, but when they did it was the height of the first cut or rough. Hoping that the recent change in management might be the reason it is not in optimal shape. Another perk is the restaurant and Tiki Bar. Good food and a beverage after a round makes for a good day!
For the deal, it was a great option.
Course is in rough shape in some areas, while i understand it is at the end of the season, i feel this course has great potential. Greens were slow but nice.
The course was very poor. It is not maintained well at all very poor.
Rough grounds but excellent amenities
This was our first time playing here, so maybe sometimes it’s better conditions but the tee boxes and many fairways were extremely hard, rocky and in some places just gravel. A few tee boxes were moved to the reds because ground condition was too rough and everything was so firm your ball just bounced for days when it dropped. The other players here were inconsiderate and we ended up being backed up 3 groups by the 8th hole. I will note we did receive a discounted rate through golf pass which helped but had we paid full price we would have left very disappointed. On a positive note the pro shop, restaurant and tiki bar were very nice and the food and drinks were excellent.
