Sandwich Hollow
Interesting course for the first time playing it and would like to play it again in another couple of weeks. Greens were recently aerated which made for lousy putting conditions.
Two different lay outs
Front nine holes was well designed back 9 holes were awful, hilly no character and lots of blind shots.
Great Course
The greens are great. I liked the course layout. It being the first time playing, there was some swing and pray. Some of the first few tee boxes are not good. You end up hitting off mounds. That was only for the first few holes. They got better.as the round continued. Going back this weekend. The price was good, the course was good. Over the bridge can be a challenge during the summer, which is why we waited until September to try this place out.
Fun course
Nice course in Sandwich. I think they are taking the right steps to make this course great again. The fairways and greens were in good condition in my opinion. Putts rolled true. No badly burnt greens. Tees were rough on some holes. Off fairway is rough. Lots of ground under repair. Personally I like this course a lot. Not a bad price. I will play again. Love the layout. Very fun and different. They had all new carts. First time I played in June the carts were all trashed. Keep up the good work course maintenance employees!
Sandwich Hollows is a Noce Place to Play
Sandwich Hollows has a nice staff and a great bar area. Everyone is friendly and the course was well kept. I highly recommend Sandwich Hollows.
Layout
Course layout is varied and challenging. Greens are consistent and very well maintained.
Great course!
The fairways and greens were extremely well maintained . This was our first visit and hope to continue coming more often.
Great bang for your buck
Really enjoyed my round in sandwich. Lord knows things can get pricey on the Cape and I thought Sandwich Hollows was a really nice option especially if you get a discounted rate. Fun layout, greens ran true and overall solid conditions.
Ok but not well maintained
First time I've played there and while I understand it is municipal they do not maintain it properly. A a number of the tee boxes were in terrible shape and you had to actually move just so you could get footing that was not a hole. The fairways were okay but if you got off the fairway in a few areas there were rocks so big you couldn't even think of hitting the ball, in fact I put a chip on the face of my 5 wood because I didn't see the sharp rocks just under the sand. I just would not play here again.
Bad Management
course is fine, conditions are fine, management/pro shop not fine. I am a single on a wide open course and one group of slow playing guys. Pro shop informs me that they won’t let me play through… it’s your job as a clubhouse to not let that happen. Send a marshal to assist the matter. Never heard that before at a course. Bad look, won’t be coming back
Bad first impressions
The staff were old and crotchety and left a bad first impression. Greens were pure for the most part but the rest of the course was in shambles. Not worth the money, we paid 45 for 9 holes lol, disappointing.
Nice
Nice track. Especially with the hot deals
$45 bucks with a cart !
Create elevation changes
Very nice course great elevation changes, especially on the back, a couple of tea boxes were a little rough other than that queens and fairways in very good shape. Definitely go again
Poorly ran golf course
The staff at this golf course is very rude in the clubhouse. Aside from that, the conditions of the course are very subpar due to the immense amount of traffic they allow. That also coincides with the incredibly long wait times during each round. The last two 18-hole rounds I played, both of which were during the weekday, lasted over five hours. This was due to course management allowing two groups of four to play together, allowing people to play barefoot and in sandals, and not sending a ranger out consistently to ensure good pacing.
Do not waste your time and money on this course!
Horribly ran course, bad conditions, slow pace, rude staff
Do not waste your time and money on Sandwich Hollows. This course is frequently overbooked to the point that 18 holes takes no less than 5 hours with about 20 minute wait times each hole. No ranger out on the course to prevent groups larger than four people or slow play. The course itself is a track with awful conditions and literal dirt tee boxes. On top of that, the staff is incredibly rude and will not make accommodations for their mistakes on tee times.
Do not make the same mistake I made.
