Nice short course
Easy and straight, good for beginners to middle level players
Beautiful Day
Beautiful sunny day with little wind. Nice little municipal course, and the conditions were good. Staff was friendly and I was paired with a group that was a similar skill level. The pace of play was great; didn't feel rushed.
Great way to get back
It’s a great course to start a season or to get some practice in. Not too narrow, the course is in great shape for the cost. Wish they had more beer options!
Solid local track
Decent local course within short driving distance from Boston. Very wide open, but tight to adjacent fairways. Straight and simple fairways that are in good shape. Decent greens. Gets a little crowded at times but pace moves along well. Good course for beginners to get off the range.
Finally!!!!!
Unicorn is usually in great shape. Today was no different other than greens being dry and aerated. But they had only 1 day notice of opening so we can’t blame the crews.
Fairly flat. Friendly but plenty long. Great value without golf now.
Avoid this course if possible
Course is in ok condition and layout is bad. All holes are next to each other and you can see balls flying around across holes. Worst thing is the manager who is arrogant and rude. He lectures us about cart, pace of play and make a disgusting face after conversation when he was leaving. Avoid him if you can and don’t go there if you bring friends out for a relaxing time.
Waste of Time
What a terrible tract. I took my daughter who is just trying golf. We were paired with another GOLF Now player, so there was a threesome. No problem but after a few errant shots from my daughter, I thought I would do the other guy a favor and tell him to move on. After, the first hole, another three caught up to us and I told them to play through. Again, pace of play! I understand that pace is important, I do belong to a private club! From there, we moved along fairly well with no one pressing us! At the seventh hole ( pro, ranger or whoever ) came out and started to lecture me on pace of play. He was ticked because the single that started with us had finished 9 and we were only on 7. He said that we shouldn't have let the three play though and not let our third guy go ahead. Frankly, I was bewildered. After some more lecturing from the guy, he said to pick it up and finish within 2:15, which we did. He then asked for my name ( what is he doing, barring me from this place?). No worries, I would never go back!
Don’t waste your time
this has to be the worst course I’ve ever played. It’s a city operated course so city employees only work M-F 8-4 which is when all maintenance is done. I played a round today and there was maintenance happening on 7 of 9 holes. The first 2 holes had “construction” on the green side bunker making balls very unplayable and the second hole had the fairway torn up directly in front of the green. It was just a very unpleasant experience from start to finish.
Pretty Terrible Place
Staff was abysmal and extremely rude, very slow pace of play (3 hours for 9 holes), course is extremely boring, greens could use some work
Course is Improving
The fairways still need work and the edges of the bunkers need cleaned up. The greens and bunkers are in really good condition. Overall, the course is in better shape when compared to a few months ago. The work the management is putting in is noticeable.
You get what you pay for
Tee boxes are rough. Fairways are patchy. Greens are fuzzy. BUT, I was looking for a Sat morning tee time at and it was 7:30 am ON Sat when I looked. I was able to book and play at 9:45. Beggars can't be choosers...
We had a great time, good layout. Just wish it was in a little better shape. But then it would have been booked! :-)
Reasonable Price & Close to Home
An average course for an average price and a short drive from my house. Greens aren't in bad shape, but would be nicer if people consistently fixed their divots. I've played here a few times and would be surprised if most of the people who play this course even own a divot tool.
Hello Sir,
