Conditions Much Improved
The new owner has done a good job with grooming since earlier in the year. Greens were good and fairways that were half dirt a few month ago now have grass. Will be back.
Good rural course
Good conditions fairways and greens, lots of cart damage around tees, wherever there's no path. Back nine the star of the show, good scenic holes, front nine kinda meh. Great welcome in pro shop, great pace of play, excellent golf now price.
Course condition is good.
Overall good shape, greens are rolling good, some slow. Fairways are good, couple of rough patches, golf cart paths paved are rough non paved are dusty, lots of just dirt. Holes are good but some quirky ones, if you have not played it it may surprise you.
WCC
Good public course. Not much difference from blue to white tees Also fairways on some holes start 170 -185 yards out from white. Also fairway boundaries are hard to distinguish. Overall good for the price
Westminster Round July 2027
This was my first time on the course and the staff were helpful in getting me into a cart and on my way.
The layout was easy enough...9 holes are on one side of the road and 10-18 are on the clubhouse side and its tucked in the woods so its rather peaceful. Tho, DO bring bug spray.
The cart path could use a lot of work. So could the gairways and greens. The fairways had lots of areas of dead grass or dirt mixed in with rocks (some large).
I would say this course is fine but dont have high expectations about course conditions.
A fun little course at a great value.
The front 9 was relatively straight forward and wide open which was a great way to ease into the round because the back 9 has a bit of everything, short short par 3’s, 200+ yard par 3’s, interesting & long par 4’s. A fun course with a nice country atmosphere.
Potential but needs work
Westminster is ok as a course but needs work now. The front 9 is dry with many bare spots. The back 9 is a little better, but has some clover and weeds, and needs more of a hair-cut. The greens are ok.
I was sent off the back to start, which was fine. However, when I made the turn, I was in the 3rd group waiting at the 1st tee. We waited every hole for at least 1 o 2 groups. The back nine took 1.5 hours to play, the front nine took a full 3 hours to play. Not acceptable on a Monday mid morning. Sorry, Westminster. You might be better next year. I will try again then.
Nice Layout Needs Some Work
A good layout and good Golf Now price. New owners need to improve conditions, particularly on holes 1-7 where several fairways were half dirt. There is good potential.
Fairways Burnt Out
The fairways on the front nine were mostly dirt and browned out grass. Back nine was better. All of the greens were in good shape.
I enjoy playing there and it was worth the Hot Deal price. I'd only go back after some rain.
The course needs some work. The cart paths are in need of repair, the tee boxes need some attention and the fairways are just ok. The greens are in very good condition and the course layout is challenging and rather long. I was surprised that the price of a hot deal appeared to be more than the regular price at the course before noon. There was no water on the course and no cart service, very uncomfortable for a hot day on the course.
Nice course
Nice course. For some reason my GN tee time didn’t make it to the system but the lady at the desk was very nice and took care of it for me. Will be back!
