Reddeman Farms Golf Club sits just eight miles west of Ann Arbor but the acres of surrounding countryside make it a peaceful escape. The course has a challenging but playable layout that will appeal to golfers of all skill levels. Those looking for a place to "grip it and rip it" rather than playing a round of target golf will enjoy this layout. Golfers who can keep their shots fairly straight will find that putting for birdie will be their main challenge. The wide-open fairways are nicely balanced with challenging greens, hard to read greens where it can be easy to three-putt. The front nine is more open than the back nine. Both nines finish with memorable holes that require a tricky carry past water. A good tee shot is essential on the par-4 ninth and reaching the 507-yard 18th hole in two is practically impossible.

Good Round of Golf

The course was in good shape. Reddeman is not a super difficult course, but for the price, there's no complaints from me.

Nice

Still very wet. Bunkers need work.
Fun course to play but they were sending players off the back when we were making the turn. That's just wrong!

Day before Fathers Day play

We have had a lot of rain lately so play was cart path only. It was they day before Fathers Day and course was fairly busy but play was steady. Great price through Golf Now and plan on playing again this summer!

subpar facility

The staff was four people in the clubhouse. One was very pleasant and friendly; the other three did not seem happy we were there. One wanted to make sure I knew all the reasons not to book through GolfNow. The carts were in bad shape (brakes barely worked, steering was a mess, even the clasps that hold the bag on weren't working). The course was in bad shape. The greens were pock marked, partially because of the patrons -- fix your ball marks! -- but partially from places that seemed damaged from equipment. The green speeds were inconsistent from hole to hole. The fairways weren't much better. We were told before we started that the snack bar downstairs would be open but when we got to the turn, it was a five minute wait for anyway to get to the snack bar window and then all that was available were chips and candy bars. The pace of play was OK. The course design is OK. But with Pierce Lake so close by and relatively the same price, I won't be back here if I am playing in this area again.

Mixed Review

Overall course was in good condition, couple of the greens were in rough shape in particular #14, but the main issue was no beverage cart person on the course at all and no drinking water coolers on the course wither.

WATCH OUT FOR THE GREENS!

Primarily a municiple course with flat conditions. Four holes are wooded. Though the course layout is not that challenging the greens can bite you. The super, Mike, has compensated the bland course course designed with some of the fastest greens in the county. Sure you can get on the greens in reg but you will find more three or four putts on your card than you expected.

This is a comfortable course.

Reddeman Farms is a moderately challenging
course....nice water hazards, average bunkers.
On the whole the fairways are pretty wide open and
fairly well maintained. The clubhouse is probably
better than average, but the one negative that
we walked away with was the substandard
condition of the greens. They could use more
TLC.

Nothing Exciting

The course was fairly simple and generic. Nice scenary on some of the holes, others were a cow pasture.

Not crowded

the course was not crowded and as a single I was able to play very fast. The course was in good shape with some casual water from all the recent rain. The greens were lush and able to hold shots into the green. All in all a good experience.

A Hidden Gem!

Reddemann Farms is simply a great value. A well maintained track (even late in the season) at great rates, with a friendly staff, food and drink, and great deals in the pro shop.

Great condition, interesting layout

The course in relatively flat but makes good use of grasses and smaller trees in many area to shape the holes and make them challenging. Many of the greens were small and rolling, so you needed to be in the right spot to avoid potential three-putts. Fairways, rough and greens all were well-groomed.
It was raining when I was getting ready to leave for the course and I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from the pro shop telling me if I wanted to cancel at the last minute, I could get a refund. When I arrived, the rain had stopped and a group that had been waiting teed off. Since there was no one I could join at that time, the pro shop had a staff member go to the group and ask them if I could play through, which they allowed with no objection. The course kept my interest throughout, even though I was by myself.
The restaurant is inviting, and the bar server informed us that it's all a real family operation, with kids in the area working at basic jobs at first, then coming home from college to join the wait staff or take other responsible positions. That all shows.

Very nice course. Challengiing to be sure. Worth the drive

Some treacherous greens to putt, so don't think that a GIR is an automatic par. Water carries on #9 and #18 par 5 approaches, so don't expect an easy finish. Fairways are generous, so you need not stripe it off the tee, and the rough was cut pretty short when I played it. Shot 44 on the front and I'm a 20+ HC. Ran out of steam on the back, 58. Ouch!

Average course, very rude superintendent/greenskeeper

Course is in decent shape and the layout is fair for the most part. Greens and fringe areas are rock hard. Most greens are crown which would be fine if pins weren't placed on the sides of hills. The woman in the pro shop is very friendly, however we had a terrible experience with the greens keeper who couldn't have been more rude asking "did you not see the five signs" when our cart was parked in the rough 30+ yards from a green. Won't be back.

Nice course in good condition.

Enjoyed the round. The front with wide open fairways was more difficult to score. The back with narrower fairways and a lot of wooded fairways was more interesting, but, easier to make pars and a couple of birdies. The greens were fast and challenging.
