Stonebridge Golf Club

About
Stonebridge Golf Club is an Arthur Hills design that is one of southeast Michigan's best kept secrets. The championship layout incorporates the plentiful water and woods of the natural terrain. The white sand bunkers that are strategically placed throughout add a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the golf course. The undulating terrain is one of the layout's most prominent features. Elaborate hills and greenside swales protect many of the putting complexes. The putting surfaces on the front nine are relatively calm when compared to the back nine where most of the greens are double-tiered, ridged, or layered. The par-4 15th is one of Stonebridge Golf Club's most scenic and challenging holes. With water in front, back, and right of the green, this is one of the toughest approaches on the back nine.

Great course
Well kept up, tee boxes in decent shape and the greens aren’t too bad but will be coming back
Well maintained golf course wing through densely populated suburban neighborhoods
Pace of play is poor. No rangers seen during 4 +hrs on course plagued by slow pace of play. I quit after spending nearly 3 hrs playing 10 holes
Fairly nice track winding through densely populated subdivision of greater Ann Arbor.
Fairly well maintained track winding through large residential area just outside of Ann Arbor city limits. Typical atmosphere of a suburban course winding through a well-maintained suburban environment.
A Pleasant Round
The course is well designed and well maintained. It is a tough but fair layout.
disappointed
This is based on rounds last weekend and this weekend. I thought last weekend was an anomaly but this weekend made me wonder. It’s a great track with lots of interesting holes, subtle elevation changes and challenging green complexes. Up to this weekend, it’s not just a course I recommend but one I would say is worth the drive for me from 40 minutes away. The last two weekends, I’ve encountered slow play, beat up tee boxes, fairways and greens, over-watered fairways leaving standing water on most holes and long waits in the pro shop and grill. At this price and with the other options in Washtenaw County, I can’t recommend anymore. I’ll be back next year and hope to see a return to normal.
Bait and Switch
I played this course in August of ‘25. My 5 year old daughter likes to ride in the cart with me, look at the butterflies and wildlife, and get a hotdog at the turn. I called ahead the day before to make sure she could ride with me and that there wasn’t an extra charge. They confirmed no issue, she could ride, no extra fee. I show up today and an old white haired guy was at the counter. He asked me if she was going with me. I explained she was just riding along, she doesn’t play, I had already called ahead and cleared it. He told me I had to pay $20 for her to ride because I booked through GolfNow. He said I booked as a single but GolfNow paired me up with 3 other people so he had to charge me for the extra cart for her to ride along. I said whatever and paid it thinking the course was full. Then he sent me off the front nine as a single and I didn’t see another person the whole day until hole 12 when my daughter was ready to go home and we drove in. I thought about it my whole round and went to complain but the old man had left for the day and the high school kid in the clubhouse said that wasn’t their policy and apologized but said their manager wasn’t there so they couldn’t do anything about it.
Never Disappoints
This course is in excellent condition from tee box to green. The carts are new and in excellent condition as well. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The thing that leaves it short of being a 5 star course is the cart path. It is in awful condition through out the entire course.
Empty, but challenging course
We saw maybe 3 other groups on the course. Went mid-week at 3:00pm. Tee boxes were not full of divots, greens were not full of ball marks like other courses in the area. Was so nice to get a round done in 3 hours where we didn't wait a shot.
Not for beginners. Postage stamp greens with heavy slopes. You need to be very accurate with your irons and have a good short game. Not a fun layout for people who want to hit their driver, tons of doglegs that require you to hit your fairway woods/irons off the tee.
A Great Track
This course is excellent in every way. The layout is fun and interesting. The course conditions were excellent. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The carts are new and in excellent condition. The one hiccup was when we ordered hot dogs on the 8th hole for pickup at the turn. At the turn we waited 15 minutes for our order to be filled before we could return to the course.
Best Pubic Course
I play alot of courses all over Michigan, from private to public. This Arthur Hills track is by far the best public course in the area and rivals private course conditions. In fact, it consistently plays better than many private courses in the area. Stonebridge is in my rotation of tracks I play and it never disappoints. Pace of play is always well managed with their GPS carts and their 2-man scrambles are run like professional tournaments with live scoring. If you haven't played Stonebridge or, participated in one of their skins games, you should!
On vacation from Chicagoland area. Did some golf course research for the Ann Arbor and the golf now reviews for Stonebridge did not disappoint. Course was in great condition from tee to green. Friendly pro shop and cart attendant staff. Well worth the cost.
Great Course; Great Staff
Stonebridge is an excellent golf course. It is always in perfect condition, and the staff is helpful, friendly, and responsive. The greens are undulating and fast, but roll very true. I have never had an experience at Stonebridge that wasn’t outstanding!
Stonebridge is a Great Golf Course
I thoroughly enjoy playing Stonebridge golf course. Without question, it is the best maintained public course in Washtenaw County. It's challenging but fair. The fairways are generously watered; the greens are quick and true; and the sand is new last year. It's a great golf course -- worth every penny.
Best Tournament Execution!
Played in their two man scramble, first one of the year. From the minute I arrived, it was clear they know what they are doing! The course was in fantastic shape, the skins tournament ran smoothly and loved that the beer carts were rolling even on a day in the 40s. Can't wait to play again!
Amazing conditions for a public golf course!
Played in a 2-Man Skins Game on April 16. The course conditions were absolutely perfection from tee to green. The tournament was scored live using a screen in each cart that also gave GPS yardage. Was able to view the leaderboard for skins and team standings. Not only was the tournament extremely well run, but they host these tournaments every 2-3 weeks throughout the season. It is a public golf course and it plays like a country club. This course has definitely been added to a track I will play regularly.
Well-conditioned subdivision course
Stonebridge is a mid-1990s subdivision course on Ann Arbor’s west side that is below Travis Pointe but above Lake Forest in quality. It has upscale conditions but a pedestrian layout that is pretty pinched by houses. It had been 20 years since I’ve played it and I remembered very few holes. If you’re good with modern residential layouts this place works great and the bar staff took care of us, but I curry favor to the more natural layouts like Washtenaw or Leslie which aren’t so dominated by development
