How It Should Be Done
Great value. Kind, courteous staff. Course in great shape (some patrons not repairing ball marks on greens). Had a really good time on a well maintained course. A+ here!
Crazy rough
Course is in great shape but rough is 4 inches long. Solution, don't miss the fairway. User error not the course
Amazing Conditions
Has been a couple of years since playing here, and I was definitely impressed by the conditioning of the course. The greens were true and fast, and the rough was lush and punishing. Probably the best greens that I have played on this year. Was a great experience playing here again, and it definitely won't be that long until I go back.
Overbooking
We were on time for our tee time but the course overbooked. Additionally, we had to have the Marshall come out because the group in front of us started playing with 7 people. The course was in great shape, but the employees need to make sure that pace of play is going better.
Good time at Hudson Mills
The course was in great shape and fun to play. Pin placement on 16 wasn't appropriate especially for such a long par three. Overall, though, it was very enjoyable.
Hudson Mills - A Good Metropark course
Really enjoyed playing there. Nicely
maintained for a metro park course. Forgiving fairways ( wide) and butt kicking rough if you miss them. Huge greens rolled fast and true, and staff was very friendly. Pace of play was slow - not a ranger in site for the whole round. In spite of that course was well worth it especially with how good of condition the course was in. Will definitely be back
Hudson Mills Golf Course is a Great Deal
HM is a great place for a nice day on the golf course. The prices are reasonable for the folks that like to golf at a nice course but don't want to break the bank while doing it. It's challenging but not too bad to make you throw your clubs. I've enjoyed it for years and hope to do so in the future.
Hudson Mills
The course was in very good shape with fast greens. Unbelievable that there was hardly anyone out there. Staff was very nice and because of how few people were out there, pace of play was up to us. I really like this course and hope to get back there this summer!
Good budget Metroparks course
Course is flat, greens are big and easy to hit. Greenside bunkers are only on half the holes. There's no water on the course. No elevation changes or water hazards on the course. No unique features. Lots of dead straight Par 4s from 375-425 yards. The tee boxes should be cut shorter, grass was half an inch and played like semi-rough.
The back 9 is the more interesting side, 13 and 14 both are dogleg par 5's into the woods that force you to choose between a driver fade/draw or a fairway wood. The par 3 16th is 237 from the blue tees, and 18 is a 447 yard par 4. Wildlife is here - plenty of deer. The course is quieter on the back 9 which is further from the road.
If you are long and straight with your driver you can score well. Slope is only 120 from the blue tees. It's a solid course for locals, but not a memorable experience worth driving out of the way for.
