Great Value Municipal Course with a Player-Friendly Layout
The layout is very friendly for higher-handicap players like me, though I can see how it might feel a bit less engaging for better players. The course is well maintained for a municipal facility, and most importantly, the pricing is very affordable—easily one of the best values in the Ann Arbor area.
Good Value for Money Spent
It is still early April. Course isn’t in peak condition yet. We had quire a bit of rain the night prior to playing and there were small puddles and areas of standing water. Overall pretty good place to play for an inexpensive round.
A Fun Afternoon
My wife and I enjoyed playing this course. It has some interesting holes that offer challenges. The back to back par 5's help to smooth out the long game.
Pace of play
The round took 5 hours and 10 minutes to complete. Never saw a ranger until the 16th hole. As a regular Metroparks golfer, this was very poorly managed.
Metropark
They were aerating the fairways so rollout was less that expercted and divots came out rather large. Greens were perfect.
Hudson Mills golf
The was a very well maintained golf course. The pace of play was a bits slow but to be expected on a weekend with such a cost-friendly greens fee. The wildlife was very active and nice to see on a number of holes. I would firmly recommend you play this course.
Better pace of play
Lots of twosomes. Foursomes stayed home due to possible weather. Never pair groups. Don’t know why.
Muni Golf by Definition
No Range, they have nets to hit into off of mats but that doesn't tell me how bad I'm slicing my driver today. Starter was friendly the day I went, it was pretty rainy so it was cart path only, but the starter seemed to trust our discretion on the course. We never waited on the group ahead of us, but to be fair our tee time was at the crack of dawn so not many groups ahead of us. Tree lined holes where balls could get lost, but didn't present an irregular amount of difficulty. Very good hot dogs, and bonus points for me with onions being available as a topping. Little to no bridges on the property, or bridges weren't memorable. 7/10 Dogs, N/A/10 Bridges
