Nice average course
Was probably the first week they were open this year so I wasn't expecting much as far as conditions are concerned. Staff was friendly, was $17 with a cart for 9. Ended up playing the back 9. Lost two balls on the course.... they were both plugged into the fairway on both par 4s. All in all if you are just looking to swing the club at a "par 3" course it's the place to go. Steer clear if your looking to use anything other than your irons!
dearborn hills
We were not informed that we had to play the front nine twice until we were on the course greens were in terrible shape and I won't be playing this course again
Practice Your Irons/Hybrids
Dearborn Hills has 12 par 3s and 6 par 4s so you get a lot of practice with your irons/hybrids. The par 3s range from about 140 to 220 so you get to use a lot of the clubs in your bag. Front 9 greens had been aerated which is something I know has to be done but I wish it could be made known prior to booking tee times.
interesting
Small greens, mostly par 3's. Played from the black tees to make it tougher. Good for a quick round.
Great course for short game
Hello, this is a great course to practice your short game. It's made up of mostly par 3's with about 4 or 5 par 4's mixed it. Course is very clean and very well maintained. I will definitely be playing this course again.
Fast 18 holes
My uncle and I played 18 holes in about 3 and a half hours on a Friday afternoon. The course has it's fair share of hazards, especially if you play the black tees. The black tee boxes and surrounding area could be better kept. There were some very tall bushes near the tee boxes that unintentionally make the tee shots more difficult than necessary. The other tees were well maintained. Overall it was an enjoyable 18 holes.
Layout and maintenance overcome short length
This was probably one of the best maintained courses I have ever played that wasn't extremely expensive to play. The greens were fast. The layout was good, apart the length. This course has an inordinate number of participants 3s. And you don't need your driver for most of the day. But despite all of this it was a good challenge and fun experience.
Nice day, beat the rain
It was a good day, the course was a little soggy but overall was nice round. Slow pace due to a 3 some in front but staff was great and will be back soon.
Excellent experience
I played just before league but the staff was very helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back.
Slow pace is a killer...
Before I get to the obvious I would say that the course is in great shape. The greens were perfect and the fairways were cut nicely and cleaned off. The staff was very friendly and the course itself is very nice. My issue was with the incredibly slow pace of play. I had to wait at least 15 minutes on each hole and I also had 2 groups following me the entire time so I can only imagine how much they waited. I am a patient player, but having to wait for every shot the entire day really took away from the enjoyable day. I saw the ranger out quite a bit, but the pace never seemed to improve. I understand it being a Friday with great weather, but every man has his limits.
Short but challenging
My first time playing this course and I had a great time. The staff was great, the course was in excellent shape and we were the only ones out there.
Friendly staff yet ranger needed
The course was very accommodating to new players - having a very easy layout, extremely friendly staff, and competitive pricing (GolfNow.com)
Really the only con I have is that they may need a starter/ranger. I'm also not sure if they allow it or not, but there was a 5-person group taking their time, which held up about 3 groups ahead of me... I ended up skipping a few holes ahead just to finish on a reasonable time.
I know it's nice outside and you want to spend time with all your buddies... nonetheless, play ready golf and your 18-hole round wouldn't be 5.5 hours long...
Love this course
I actually play this course a lot. Great course for a great price.
Canadians
We got there about 1 1/2 hours early because we never know about the border.. we got thru quickly...the starter put us on right away, which we really appreciated... really enjoyed our game and the perfect weather. We liked the friendliness of the staff, and the course was in great shape. We will be back, as long as we can get deals ...thanks to our Canadian dollar!!
great course, but bad time of year (mid fall)
Great course, we'll kept. Unfortunately they had just aerated all the fairways, and the geese were everywhere, so lots of messy droppings. There was a also a boggy smell because of all the water hazards. These are things out of their control, so I'm not gonna knock them for it, but just letting folks know they should probably stick to the nicer times of year at this course. I'll be back in the summer.
Also, food and beverage offerings are very basic at t this time of year, so if you want to have lunch at the turn, there isn't much going on
1st time here 1st time using Golf Now App.
This entire process was great. The course was pretty good. Will play there again...soon
Great golf coarse
Outstanding
Will be playing a additional 18 Holes next week with 3 friends.
Highly revommended
Very nice golf nested in Dearborn
Very nice spot, part can be seen as short but it is not a problem. No major difficulties
SWING WORK
Had a good chance to work on many irons in my bag.
Nice short course
We enjoyed playing the course. Pace was good so we were not waiting for feeling rushed. Good course for beginners.
