Owner has no idea what's going on!
I called the day before to reserve a tee time for 4 people & a cart for 18 holes. My brother & i paid by credit card and my nephew paid cash plus my friend had a voucher to play 18 with a cart. The kid at the counter said after we paid that we had to go off the back 9 so it was no problem. We finished the back 9 then proceeded to the front 9. We were told we couldn't go off the front by a girl saying we had to go off the back 9 again in which we didn't want to, so we asked for a refund or a raincheck. The girl was going to write out a raincheck but the owner told her she couldn't. He said we only paid for 9 in which it wasn't true. He told us we had to leave & wasn't giving us a refund. Poor customer service!!
Nice course
I was a member 25 years ago and I think the course is in better condition than at that time. Pleasantly surprised how nice it was
general public is treated terrible
called for a tee time on friday for saturday for a 4some to play 18 . we arrive and pay and one oerson uses a pass they have for a free 18. .Get carts and then another one of our group members was told we had to stsrt off on 10 . No big deal. Finish 9 and then go to 1 . After 2 people have hit their tee shots someone comes running out to tell us we have to tee off 10. said we already played that 9 . told us front 9 was closed for a bunch of women . We told them that we would like refund siince we never would have paid if this was case . would only give us a rain check for 9 which still is crap . .Then they tell us we only paid for 9 . They charge $44 for 9 and $49 who would only pay for just 9 at that difference . Plus the free pass was for 18 so counter person knew we were playing 18 and even asked on of us if were playing 18. . Friend called guy a name as he left because understandibly upset . Manager then yells ti him as hes walkimg out door tonsay it to his face trying to act like a tough guy. i turn around and tell him ii'll say it to your face . He then tells me to come over there and say it so i walk over and say it again . He then walks from behind counter and says say it again . I walk up to him again and say it . The guy is maybe 5'5" and i'm towering over guy . Now he asks what are you going to do now . Well i did what you asked idiot . I'm not going to hit you and get arrested . Now i leave and he tells me my shorts are not appropriate. Well then you should have not taken my money and i would have gone somewhere else . Luckily 2 of people paid by credit card and will not get their money from them . Management are idiiots . An easy solution would have been to offer us a raincheck for 18 and apologize for misunderstanding. I think they are trying to prioritize the people that live on course . I think thats why it originally went bankrupt and will be headed the same way.
Slow play
It took almost 3 hours to play the front 9 they over booked tee times and members that lived on the course just squeezed in wherever they wanted told the girl in the pro shop and was told that starting may 1st they would have a ranger and a starter but there was nothing they wanted to do for us that day
Was a great course, fairways, greens, and management are rough.
I had played here off and on for the past 10 years, last year was the last time I will ever step foot onto this course.
New management raised the fees to the price of a premium golf course with the maintenance of a backwater driving range course combo. In a radius of 20 miles from this place I can name 5 courses that are cheaper, and far better maintained than this course. The clubhouse doesn't honor tee times, our cart literally broke down, and I had somebody take out my Sideview mirror from hole 9.
The course has some great greens, if they're in the shade. The layout is fantastic, but some of the fairways look like they have been mortared however the turf is growing well despite the amount of hard clay. The lack of toilets is only better than the fact the toilets they do have are dirty and lacking toilet paper.
This course is not worth the charge, if it were priced for the fact that they have a great layout and don't care about the golfers, maybe I could go there to have fun, but with overpriced green fees and drinks, I could only reccomend this course to someone I disliked immensely.
Fall golf👍
Played Flushing Valley Golf Club on 10/24. Very nice shape & the ground crews were doing a great job keeping the leaves off the greens. Not an easy job to do this time of year!👏
Beautiful Course, Just No Yardage Markers
Great experience playing here except for one pesky detail... no yardage markers. Not even a stake for the 150 to-go. Otherwise beautiful course and facility, but having to rely on a phone app for yardage was slightly frustrating at times.
Not what I expected
Could be a very beautiful course if taken care of great layout but course conditions not good 😠
Charming course
Small town course with imperfect grounds but friendly staff and patrons always keep us coming back
Don't golf here
1. When we checked in they double booked our tee time.
2. Used the restroom no toilet paper told the desk lady 2.5 hrs later at the turn still no toilet paper. The checkout lady said they are waiting on some to get it... What 2.5 hrs to get toilet paper.
3. Course super hard even in fare way. Cart path is like Michigan pothole roads.
4. Backed up with players waiting. Waiting, waiting. (Might be because of double booking) left after 12th hole due to the wait.
Nice quiet course
This course is in a valley and they did a very good job drying up what they could on the course considering we played after some rain the night before.
The staff was nice and we were able to play 18 in about 3 1/2 hours
Hot deal not so hot.
This course advertises a hot deal tee time a few times a week, However; When you attempt to book it the tee time is no longer available. I experienced the same situation last season. The Golf Now app should check into this issue and stop this “ Bait and Switch.”
Great price for 18
New ownership has done a great job with this course
Good course!
Overall, this was a good value for the money. The fairways and greens were in very good shape. The greens were very fast. That said, the tee boxes were generally in fair shape with some I would rate as poor. Being first time golfers at this course, I would recommend that the pro shop inform golfers that the #1 tee box is a good distance away from the clubhouse, up the hill next to the main entry drive to the course. My son and I assumed #1 was the one located right outside the pro shop, so we started there, not aware that we were hitting on hole #10. The sign at that hole was weathered a bit so it was hard to read. Our fault I guess, but a little guidance sometimes goes a long way. We will be playing this course again this summer.
Just for fun
A nice hidden gem that needs some rework on a couple of the back greens but it was a good course to play for the money and the staff are friendly.
