Bedford Valley Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort

I drove 4 hours this weekend over to my neighboring state of Michigan for the first time ever to play golf there, And I chose Bedford Valley as my first course. Because of the Length. And the History the course has had since being built. I caught up to 2 awesome lady golfers named Deb, and Beth, both around my age, in there 40's, and asked if I could join them, and let me just say, these Ladies could play some serious golf. And played fast. I was so impressed playing with a group of ladies. The course was not very hard in my opinion, Wide enough fairways to adjust to my swing on the day to stay down the middle. Greens were in Mint shape, And hardly any divots to speak of. Due to a lot of rain recently, The course was a bit moist but hey that's golf. I Liked the Layout and thought was 2 different 9's. Front is more open with trees lining the fairways, but hit the back and your in the trees. I played the tips here or black tee's as I always do. And found the length to my advantage. I hit round 200 off the tees. so I would use a 3 wood to reach the greens all day of be just short of them. Great mixture o sand bunkers here. In all I really Loved this course, sad to have putted on 18th green, because so many more courses to play, but this hidden gem was a treat. And I holed out with a 40-43=83, not bad for a course that's 7,000 Yards. I had a chip in on hole 15 from 27 yards out, I talked to these gals and a gentleman that lived in area in parking lot, and they gave me many helpful hints on every hole. I would give this place 2 thumbs up!

Everything about Bedford Valley is great. Because there are many golf packages associated with Gull Lakeview I imagine a lot of players come here also. The only thing I wish they had was a ranger to speed up play. Otherwise it's a terrific course!

Loved the couse. Condition of the course was excellent from tee boxes, fairways to greens. Felt like we had the course to ourselves. Can't wait to play it again.

I snuck out there on a Wed afternoon and even as a single moved around in 3 hours playing through a group and being behind a few others. Course was in very nice shape. The back 9 has a fantastic layout and the par 3's are very challenging from the back tees. I would play this course a lot more if it wasn't out in the middle of nowhere. Bedford Valley is a former site of the Michigan Open. As you will see the first time you play the course, the difficulty is set at the tee box. There are multiple length tee boxes for both men and ladies that can add as much as 30-50 yard per hole. The bunkers are very large and strategically placed both next to the greens and in the fairways. The water hazards are not extremely difficult if you play smart shots rather than superman shots. Overall Bedford Valley is a very challenging yet enjoyable course to play that will have you coming back to better your score.

There wasa group of 5 ahead of us that wouldn"t let us play through and the 2 some ahead of them ,one was rideing on the back with his clubs on his back.They need someone watching the course.My first bad experience there!

Beautiful course. Not too many golfers on the course so pace of play was good. Fair course if you stay out of trees. Greens were fast and true. Would play it again.

I drove fifty miles to play this course and would do it again. Great classic style golf course, reminded me of played in northern Michigan. Great shape very large bunkers and sloping greens would like to play it when it is firm and fast. Well worth the time and money.

This is a fun course to play on the west side of Michigan. It is a challenging course but is very fair. There are some elevation changes. The greens are very large but roll true. I always enjoy playing this course.

The course was in great shape. The championship tees require you to use almost every club in the bag. Layout superb.

Course was in very good condition, staff were helpful and very professional. Course was for the most part wide open with a few tighter holes. Nice layout and let you play at a pleasant pace and work on your game a little. Greens were slower than what I normally play though I could see that if they were mowed a little tighter the greens could be much more challenging.

This course is very well maintained. There's a reason why I drive from Grand Rapids a few times a year to play it. This course, and all of the gull lake courses, is very fun and it gives you the feel of up North golf.

45+ minute drive from GR, but well worth it! Course has some really beautiful holes that were very challenging due to length and bunkering. Great price on GolfNow. Course was wide open on Fri afternoon, so pace of play was awesome. Will definitely play again this year. Staff was very friendly.

This was one of the nicest courses I've played in the Kalamazoo area. Sand traps were in the best condition I've see in a long time. All of the Gull Lake courses have been very well maintained and not much play during the week it seems.

I booked 7:23am thru Golf Now and we could start even 10min earlier. It was so smooth playing there were no player before and after us. We finished the round 3 and 1/2 hours. Every green was well maintained and faster than average. I enjoyed very much. Thanks Golf Now for introducing this course with very affordable rate! Hope to play soon!!!
