The course lols good for this time of year. No water and soap is in ball washer.

I've lived in Port Huron for years and have always liked the course and being friends there often. I booked a tee time through golf now and later received a text that it rear wasn't available. Golf now re said go to the course and we can still play our tee time but may not finish which was fine, there was literally 8 cars in the lot we would've finished no problem. Pro shop guy blamed golf now, golf now blamed pro shop, I wasted an hour of my day and a friend drove from out of town and the pro shop guy told me golf now said I won't be refunded which is crazy, and he wouldn't let us golf our tee time and said if we wanted to golf 9 we would pay $20 more each to do it. No way, what a scam. Manager couldn't approve a $8 decision so because of the incompetence I will no longer be playing or recommending this course which is a shame. Easily could've made it right but instead he argued with me for literally 30 minutes while other customers waited and watched. Golf now rep was also rude. What a shame.

Tried this course for the first time this past weekend. The course was backed up and the pace of play was moving at a snails pace. But that wasn’t my biggest problem since i understand courses get backed up. There were no signs for what hole is what. There was no tee box indicating where to hit from. Just a patch of grass. This was our first time playing here and i had no clue where to go. We payed for 18 but left after 8 holes because it took over 2.5 hours to be finished with the 8th hole. So It was a disappointing waste of $40. Staff was nice but I wouldn’t go back. Find a course with actual tee boxes and signs.

Honestly if only they improved the tee boxes a bit this would be a top tier course for the area. Greens were beautiful and fast! Leaves were cleared off the fairway for the most part. Couple of bad tee boxes but that’s my only complaint. I will be back soon!

Great course conditions especially for Michigan weather.

Went golfing there tonight and was told there was a group of ten people out, cool no problem. Play the front nine catch up to the group of definatley NOT ten people, however they were playing some circus act golf game hitting balls literally everywhere, I was almost hit four or five times while putting. While teeing off they were flying out in the fairway and grouping up and just take over the hole and shoot it to wherever they were playing to?????? If you are gonna have a outing u close the course to the public u don't let people pay full price to deal with this horse s#@+, I paid for 18 and played 9 I go there quite a bit but I just lost all respect for this course now.

Green to Next Tee Box was a little weird at times. Seldom had to head back towards the Tee I just played before for the next Tee. This course had it several times. Glad the course wasn't full we'd have had to cross into other fairways. No score card on the carts either.

Enjoyed our 18 holes followed by great food at the restaurant. Our only suggestion would be to have better signage showing the direction to the next hole...went the wrong direction a few times.

Had a great day and round. I love playing at Black River not because it’s close by my house. It’s an awesome course layout that challenges your game in all aspect.
