Good course but but greens not ready yet

We played on a cold day. Very good layout but greens were not cut probably because of the cold weather. Tight tree lined course with some tough but fair holes. will play again when it is warmer.

Great Course

Would have been nice to post on golf now you are playing the same nine holes twice . This is the second time booking this course on GN . Both times communication was poor . The first time I got out there and the course was closed for the season . Other then that it was a fun day on a nice course.

You can't fake your way around Black River. Conditions today were perfect. Great welcome from Bob in The Pro Shop sets the tone for a wonderful golf experience. Black River is a gem of a course which I highly recommend.

Black River review

Love the course. Greens are in great shape and can be fast. Fairways are lined by old large trees, but are generous. Hole number three is a bear! Sand traps need some work. Course is tucked away where traffic noise is almost none existent. Played 18 holes as a twosome, in 3.5 hours.Great value for your money.

Great Value!

This course is a true gem. Wonderful staff. Conditions were near perfect today except for a brief shower. Greens are firm and fast. Fairways were just a bit wet but it's October and ir's Michigan! Tip of the hat to Matt in the Pro Shop. Always a warm welcome.

Very nice course, some leaves, at this time. Lost 1 ball (I feel like someone picked it up) sliced off to the right and lost sight of it. Other then that very nice day with friends.

What's not to like?

Great welcome from Bob in the Pro Shop. Friendly groundskeepers are everywhere. Very courteous.

Just love the heritage aspect of this course which was built in 1926.
