Black River Country Club

What can I say?

Just one of the best courses anywhere. Thanks to the always warm welcome by Matt, we always enjoy Black River. Conditions were somewhat north of great today.

Groundskeepers are always friendly and considerate.

Course was a really great play. Pace was quick, staff were friendly and course was in great shape. Only low points were that the bunkers definetly need more sand and course layout is a bit confusing to follow. Overall great course though and will definitely be back to play again.

This course is very nice and challenging for golfers of all skill level.

My friends and I enjoyed the friendliness of staff. They were very helpful. Greens were well taken care of. Sometimes it was difficult to locate next tee offs. Had to carefully look for little red signs. Had to make some turns to locate next tee. Will definitely return!

Course was in great shape, only item that was below average was some bunkers even though they looked great, raked and clean, some had very little sand before hardpan. but otherwise great play best I have seen it since the old private days.

I usually play this course 4 or five times a year, it has a good mix of fairly difficult holes and some easier ones to let you ease up a bit. The course was in great shape considering the amount of rain and inclement weather we've had this spring

Course was very wet and half the course was shut down. Had to start at the 10th hole, go to the 4th hole, back to the 14th and 15th hole and then finish off 5, 6, 7 , 8, 9. We did this twice to play 18, but it was a shame we could not play the bottom portion of the course. It isn't much the course fault though as the river seemed to be overflowing into the bottom portion. Hopefully it dries soon because I would love to go back out and play the bottom portion sometime this summer.

The course was in very good condition and fun to play. Areas that were not playable for the most part were roped off. Also, there were no signs directing players between holes.and because of the layout of the course it was very confusing at times to find the next tee.

Half the course was closed due to water. Two groups of five in front of us and another twosome sharing one set of clubs. Had to zigzag course to get nine holes in and then play same holes over. Should have been given the choice to cancel and not be charged. Furthermore at least three foursomes of course members rode past us on our second nine holes further clogging up a already jammed course. Over five hour round. Not impressed at all

This course was very good condition and playability. The weather was great and staff were helpfull and all was good. I did not shoot a good game but I could not have had a better time........I will be back.
