Has that old course European seaside feel
This course has it's challenges. It's well worth the price. It reminded me of some of the courses around the British Isle's. Depending on the days, expect back ups, and ALWAYS expect to be paired up if you are in a two-some or solo..
not a tree in site
this is more of a links style course, which im not a fan of
Decent course
Course is fine and in generally good shape. Carts could use a refresh. Very limited food and drink. New rates too high for course.
Satisfied with a late night round
Everything was great. At first glance the course seems very easy but there are some sneaky tough holes in there. The back nine is definitely legit from the tips which is where I played from with my dad. Had a few issues with pace of play on the back nine due to following a 5-some which shouldn’t be allowed but I understand since it was a twilight round I guess. Overall was happy with it. Limited off course amenities. So don’t count on that.
Some Things Need Attention
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Tee boxes poor and tee marker placements also bad. Fun layout except for some of the forced carries with growth in the water.
Great Course
Had an outing at Blackheath and it was excellent. Mike did an excellent job of coordinating multiple tee times and the course was in excellent condition. A great time was had by all. Highly recommend Blackheath!
Good Value
Links style course that is not too difficult but not easy. Not a lot of water or hazards, but enjoyable to play and well kept. Value for the money is very good. Would definitely play again.
Wonderful Golf Course
Blackheath is one of my favorite golf courses in the metro-Detroit area.
The management here does a great job taking care of the greens and course conditions are typically very good to pristine even during the hot summer months.
They also do a great job managing league play without letting it impact individual golfers and/or groups.
My favorite time to golf here is during the evening hours. The crowd disappears and the scenery is absolutely beautiful….close to downtown Rochester but you wouldn't know it when out on the course surrounded by the nature and countryside.
I'm looking forward to my next round Blackheath and thank you to the management for always being extremely friendly and helpful.

Overbooked again
Blackheath used to be my favorite course in the area, but it changed this year. It's way too overbooked now. The only time I would try is early weekday mornings if I were to try again. Avoid weekends at all costs unless you're willing to spend well over 5 hours on a round.
Course is beautiful, and was in great shape, except some of the greens were pretty beat-up. Overbooked tee times, so it was a five our round, which I can live with, but we waited at the 1st tee for 35 minutes. Pro shop was very friendly.
Long, long, long round.
Great course, but so slow and backed up on every shot.
5 1/2 hours and we quit at 16.
Getting worse
This was never a nice place
Clubhouse is crap, carts are pathetic, nothing on course like ball washers, water, etc
The course itself is alright
But for 10 to 20 bucks more you can play a track where the owner has an ounce of pride in what they own
Ive played here on occasion for 20 years
I won't be back until this owner sells
