Has that old course European seaside feel
This course has it's challenges. It's well worth the price. It reminded me of some of the courses around the British Isle's. Depending on the days, expect back ups, and ALWAYS expect to be paired up if you are in a two-some or solo..
Bone dry
Not worth it. Extremely slow round and dried out course. Staff and management are in “la la” land.
Beautiful day and course
Blackheath was in fine shape. The fairways were very lush and the greens fast and true. A fair but challenging course in pristine condition.
Great course!
Love this set up. Great course, pace was great. Staff friendly, beers were cold. Will be back!
Nice links-style course
This course was in great shape for spring golf, both as to the fairways and the greens. The greens are undulating or slanted, so their speed is a bit slower than average, but they putt true. There are few trees except at the course boundaries, so wind and some amount of undulating terrain are the main defenses for the course right now. In past years they allowed heather to grow as an additional defense. Right now, it's too early to tell if they will continue to do so this year. It slows play. Car paths need some renovation. The carts are a bit old, too. The clubhouse is a large open space with few amenities, and is oddly placed a long distance from the parking lot. Decent practice facilities. Overall, it is good value for the money, especially if you like links-style golf and don't plan on spending time in the clubhouse.
Blackheath
First time playing here. Staff couldn’t be more friendly, great couple of guys we ran into. Hooked us up with another 2-some, and I think one of them was going for his Tour card because he was very slow. Pace of play wasn’t an issue, “we” were the issue. Course condition was “ok” for April, not worth the $33 price tag. We stopped after 9, wasn’t interested in playing the back. I’d recommend to a friend, but not at that price.
Exceptional conditions for price
Links style play, but incredible course condition and easy layout. White tees are generous and not too challenging. Greens in very good condition, but very sharp. Great golf course and would highly recommend.
