Has that old course European seaside feel
This course has it's challenges. It's well worth the price. It reminded me of some of the courses around the British Isle's. Depending on the days, expect back ups, and ALWAYS expect to be paired up if you are in a two-some or solo..
Scotland in Michigan
This course has the British Open feel. fun and Challenging layout, that rewards you for risk and also for playing smart. You do not have to force anything on this course… just enjoy your round and let the. Little ball fly in the air while enjoying this British feel unique Beautiful Course. The Club house is a bit dated, but the staff are helpful if interact with them, but they are not the welcoming committee lol. And Don’t let the club house fool you.. this is a nice and fun beautiful course. My one knock on the course with golfnow is that you have to book as doubles., that takes away from the lone golfer that looks to try new courses and golf experiences
Excellent Golf- Limited Accomodations
To start, the all grass range was a pleasant surprise and is always a great way to get ready for 18.
From Tee to Green this course was in fantastic condition. This is a true Links course, and will challenge any golfer with tough bunkering, rolling hills, and blind shots. False front greens, and tricky pins. Even playing from the white tees this course plays long, with elevation changes on every hole, it only says 5200 yards, and 6200 from blues, but will give you a run for your money!
There are some fun surprises along this course, with a very unique layout, beautiful greens, and scenery along the way.
This course I think needs a well placed Half-way house, somewhere along the way for refreshments, as there are no cart girls, and the 9th hole is placed a ways from the clubhouse.
I've never seen a clubhouse that is in need of a renovation more than this... The views are amazing overlooking the course, but the vibes inside are one of a stinky barn, with some overpriced candy, no Liquor or Beer is sold which is fine with me but is driving away certain business I assume. No Frills clubhouse, and limited amenities, with amazing golf. A gem of a course for this area.
Overall Good Value
Great Value for the course condition. Fun track to play over all. The staff were friendly too. Only down side was the pace of play… 5.5 hours for 18 holes.
I don’t believe this is always the case, but on this particular day it was a bit much to wait 10-15 minutes between shots.
Beautiful fairways
The fairways are on great shape, the greens were very nice for the most part. The rough is not that great, the grass is patchy and weedy and not thick enough to be considered rough. We had three players in front of us, slowed down the whole course. But we still finished in 4 1/2 hours. I’d play there again
Perfect morning!
This is my new favorite course I’ve played this year. Perfect morning tee-time at 7am, sun starting to rise with a lite fog that cuts across the landscape…just a beautiful round of golf. Would highly recommend!
Good course. Iffy customer service
Been here a few times. Course is nice, its just the management is questionable. Ranger harassed over pace yet its backed up in front of us. A small bag of chips is $4, thats insane.
Slowest pace, overbooked
This is a beautiful course, that is ruined by poor time management. Tee times overbooked, rounds take 6+ hours for a local public course. Haven't played here in ten years for this reason- hoped it would be better but it's actually gotten worse.
