About
The Myth Golf & Banquet used to be known as Beaver Creek before a major renovation in 2007. The former course was transformed into a scenic 18-hole championship golf course and a nine-hole, par-3 course. The courses were redone from the tees to the greens, one major improvement was the removal of all artificial tees. The 18-hole golf course has a traditional but challenging design that is still playable for all skill levels. The short course offers great practice for beginners and it's gentle enough for juniors. It's a good layout for families to play, but more advanced players can also enjoy a fast, casual round of practice. The Myth has a scenic location adjacent to Lake Orion, it sits on protected land that provides a home to a variety of wildlife. Sandhill cranes can often be seen throughout the golf course.

Good not great
Course is fine enough for what the greens fees are, but boy oh boy you’ve got everyone piled up on top of each other when it comes to tee times. Played one hole and then waited behind three groups every hole after that. Ended up grouping up with two guys in front of me and really took our time and still had to wait for two groups in front of us. Shrink the game.
Course conditions
Lots of great improvements to this course this year..Tee boxes much better and greens are rolling true.

The Myth
Good name for this track. A terrible layout, THERE are far too many "Blind Shots" that cause a log jam. We quit after 12 holes and 3.5 hours of waiting on every hole. The Mythe is just that, something that is not as it should or could be.
3.6/10 Golf Course
Played 18 holes at the Myth on Saturday, 9/20 and it was arguably the worst conditions I’ve played all year in Northeast Metro Detroit. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes looked dejected, and for a course that is very tight/difficult to begin with, the condition of the course made it really unenjoyable.
Electrical wires exposed in the middle of the fairway, nails sticking out everywhere from the wooden cart paths, dirt tee boxes… it was bad, and paying $60/man felt wrong.
Side note: The attitude from the guy in the clubhouse about providing my DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER to rent a golf cart was also not appreciated.
I’d find somewhere else to play!
Terrible pace of play
Over booked. 3.5 hours for 9 holes. Tee boxes were sand. They apparently don't have grass seed. Go down the road and spend a little more you will be happier.
Illegal Pin Placement
To start I’ll say I’m a 15.9 handicap golfer so I’m good not great at golf. The course is very narrow but that has nothing to do with my low rating. I came on a Friday afternoon and there were multiple pins placed on hills that made it impossible to keep the ball anywhere near the pin. Hole 5 had it placed in a spot where if you miss the ball rolls completely off the green down a big hill into just dirt about 75 feet from the pin (the ball would actually roll backwards even if you putted from the low side). If the pins were placed in legal spots and had actual flat areas, this course would be solid, just difficult to score on.
Poor condition
Not worth the $ terrible conditions. I want a refund

This was my first time playing the myth. Challenging track. My son and I played best ball and shot 73
