Stony Creek Golf Course
About
Stony Creek is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and many locals consider it to be one of its gems. There aren't any residences near the golf course, giving it a secluded feel and providing unhindered views from the elevated tees. The course opened in 1976 but underwent a major renovation that included re-sculpting the bunkers and reconditioning the entire golf course. The layout features several doglegs and a surprising amount of elevation changes. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and landing zones. There are also lakes and ponds that come into play on six holes on the front nine and three on the back. Stony Creek's par-3 17th is the most memorable water hole and the 14th is also notable for its tiny "postage stamp" green.

Stony Creek Metropark Golf Course
Typically in very good condition tee to green, the only downsides to playing this course is the speed of the greens has been slower this year, and at times pace of play. Some challenging layout holes require you to think your way around, rather than just hit it as far as you can off the tee.
Nice day
Course was not in bad shape with all the warm weather we have been having. Greens were really slow. Bunkers were not raked and sand was very hard
Tee Box
Would love to see Stoney Creek to improve the quality of their tee box, primarily on par threes. They are divot fields, little grass.
Fix the tee boxes
The course is fine, but the tee boxes need major repair. Can't fine a level area without pits and divots all over.
Overbooked supposed to tee off at 1040 had 2 wait for 3 4somes. 3 hour 10 minute 9 left after 11 holes rangers did nothing to enforce pace of play
Solid course but..
Nice course. Great staff. We've played the course a few times, different times of the day, and different days of the week, pace of play is always brutal.
Amazing staff
The staff here are so kind and welcoming, which is nice to see as a female golfer. They even gave me a card to get a 6th round free after playing five which I thought was awesome!
Stoney creek.
Very nice layout and good co still. Some tee boxes need some work. Gewat pace of play
Nice and playable, good value
Pretty course in very good shape. Moderately tight and challenging. Decent pace of play. Greens are in good shape. Holes are secluded and private, feeling like Up North. Tom the Starter was great! Good value also. Recommend!
(Note: Non-residents will need to pay $10 Park Entry fee and likely get slowed down at gate entering Metropark.)
Stony Creek Golf
I enjoyed another round of golf at Stony Creek GC. I play here each year that I return home to visit family and the course conditions are always great! You cannot beat the value and I highly recommend this course.
Great course for the money
Course is much improved from years ago when it was just ok. They now have hybrid tees which make the course play shorter then the white tee box which still plays around 6500 yards.
