Gold/Red at Hickory Knoll Golf Course

My wife and I normally Get deals on GolfNow or tee off but we had never played Hickory Knowles here in Whitehall Michigan so I saw that it was $18 for nine with a cart seniors on a weekday and we were to meet family up in Ludington for the day which was a lot of fun but anyway we played the blue nine year in the older woman suggested or we requested a lengthy nine with some shade and woods so the blue line was a good call cause it looked like the rest of the courses Fairly open from what we could see. The blue line had some wood, some some good dog legs and a little tightness and the greens were good and mounded like most older courses, but the fairways were average condition at best and T boxes average. The golf carts were new with a nice thick padded seats without the Grip hitting you in the head so I don’t believe they were Yamaha’s other than that yeah, it was kind of fun. The big differences between the red ladies tease in the men’s blues 3000 yards for the men and I believe 2200 yards for the ladies so that worked out pretty good. We just had a good quick nine and then we proceeded to have fun up in Ludington State Park, and Swim and spend time with the family so anyway I would recommend playing here once for shoot the first hole on the blue line as a severe dog leg darn near 400 yards almost 90° so it’s a challenge right out of gate there, but I don’t know we have played all the courses up along the Lakeshore starting up in oh I don’t know right in grand Haven Luna Road there the ravines of course way down Saugatuck grand Haven golf club when it used to be that now it’s American Dunnes big money Jace Hammond, Lincoln thoroughbred Grandview Stonegate, colonial Oceana Shelby, Buona Shores, Hemlock, Lakeside Lakes, all of those and this is kind of near the lower end of the scale but typical old-school blue-collar course but give it a shot play to blue line and catch it like we did it wasn’t really that busy on him late morning Wednesday July too 2025 thank you
