Old Channel Trail Golf Course - Valley

The course was in great condition and played well. I was impressed with the quality of the greens. The par fours seemed a little too plain.

Unfortunately, there was some tree removal being done right next to a green and tee box. Otherwise, it's a great course and provided a great value. I certainly would play it again!

Enjoyed our round at Old Channel. Good local course. Staff friendly and helpful. Played the Woods and Valley nines. Best of the three.

Greens smooth and moderately fast. Fairways ok, not great.

Very personable young lady at check-in. The course is in great shape and beautiful views on almost every hole. The greens were in great shape as well.

Enjoyed a great round with my son, who blasts the ball past mine now. Wonderful memories made on a memorable course.

We started off in clear weather but knew it was going to change. It did on the second hole. It was a light rain the rest of the front nine. They let us leave and come back later that day to finish the back nine. We were camping out at Muskegon State Park. Went back and finished the round under ideal conditions. Thanks.

I played the Woods and the Valley nines. The Woods is a pretty plain golf nine, but the Valley will get your attention! Courses were in good shape but the tee boxes were looking well used. It is a great course for the money, and was not at all busy.

The course has much to offer with historic qualities and varying style of each of the three nine-hole courses and ample practice area(s). The great value for the amenities and serene course is held back by a lackadaisical approach to tee time scheduling, course play management, and user experience.

Enjoy the different 3 different nines here and lots of old school character. Tons of rain lately so only one nine open valley across street the newest nine.

They called enroute to let us know and we were close by so played Valley twice. Only golfnow course to ever call and let us know. Good service.

Surprised at the amount of walkers but they weren't an issue. Allot of kids as well and they weren't an issue either. Played the woods. Got to catch a path down to the lake front and it was sick. Had no issues with the greens or tee boxes. Basic gas carts with no issue. No complaints honestly. Def coming back.

The conditions of the grains are pretty good, but I don’t know what happened. A lot of the fairways have a lot of crab grass and a lot of dry spots and the tea boxes aren’t the best either. I don’t know what’s happening here, but I don’t think it says a good condition as it used to be a few years ago Course it has been a very dry summer, but they were watering the greens and while we were playing in the middle of the afternoon so they’re trying.

Most of the sand traps are pretty poor.

But with my $10 monthly discount from the golf pass plus for two of us on a Friday midday for 35 bucks is pretty darn good so that’s what Jew us out plus the family was up and Silverlake so he went up there afterwards. Good thing is they have 27 holes so we were slowed down on the front line by a couple old women, but on the back nine, we played through a foursome on the third hole the meadows and it was clear sailing, and it has all the length you really want the meadows And if you play from the tips, let me tell you it’s plenty long if you think you’re a good play from the tips on the valley across the street that’ll challenge the snot out

Always get good price here on golfnow and enjoy the original 100 year old Woods nine. Humungous trees are gorgeous and they have these high heather obstacles to avoid. The watering of the fairways is not up to their usual shape but the greens are watered nicely.

When the wife and I can play both for less than $50 it’s worth the drive. Always cooler up against big lake
