Not in good condition
The condition of this course was not great. There were a lot of dead spots in fairways and the greens were rough. I usually like this course but was not a fan this time.
Green haven Golf
Had not played Greenhaven in a long time, 10-12 years? I like the layout but the course had a lot of winter kill, manny fairways had large areas of dead or no grass. Some of the bunkers were very hard with packed sand and some were soft, no consistencies.
So so course
I last played this course 15 years ago. After playing it the other day I remember why. Is an ok course but definitely not worth 33 dollars to play. There is no driving range to warm up. The putting green has 3 holes for everyone to to use..along with the 3 holes being completely severe uphill or downhill. Staff guy was not friendly at all. I played with a nice guy which helped the round. Fairways on the back had some type of kill so were not very good. If I play this course again it will be another 15 years.
Really good course...
The only major flaw is the lack of driving range. I would put this corse above Sundance and Shamrock. Slightly below Hollydale, below Links at Norfolk and Edinborough.
Course in good shape
Greenhaven is a nice course and is in good shape and a nice round will play again this season
Nice course, worth the trip...
While Greenhaven is on the edge of what I like to drive for golf, this was worth it.
Course conditions were very good. Greens consistent. I watched the ranger or player "assistant" fixing divots in the fairway. A good sign.
A few places were in need of signs to the next tee but mostly straight forward. Fairly active railroad nearby but didn't bother us too much.
We will be back.
The greens
Good course tucked into the city. Greens a little slick but overall fun course! Had a good pair of guys to play with.
