American Dunes Golf Club is a brand new golf course that is owned and operated by the Folds of Honor Foundation. Built on the site of the former Grand Haven Golf Club, American Dunes was designed by Jack Nicklaus and is a living memorial to the birthplace of the Folds of Honor organization, which provides scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members of the U.S. Armed Forces. In addition to the 18-hole layout, there are memorials to fallen soldiers on every hole and a giant American Flag between the 9th and 18th holes and in view of the clubhouse. The course is open to the public but there are preferred rates for service members and plans for an onsite lodge for stay-and-play and events.
