Milham Park Municipal Golf Course
About
Situated on the southern edge of Kalamazoo, Milham Park Golf Club borders its namesake park. This municipal course is one of the best in the city, boasting some of the best conditions of any of the area's golf courses. Originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1931, the second nine was added as a project under the Works Project Administration in 1935. The course has a traditional layout that is seemingly short by modern standards at 6,630 yards from the back tees. Don't let the yardage fool you, Milham Park offers many holes with good length. The layout is heavily bunkered and there are tall trees along the fairways. Water is nowhere to be found except for a mild hazard that edges along the fourth hole.

Meh
Course was beat up, lots of bare spots. Joe in pro shop seemed quite inconvenienced by my tee time and seemed put out by the whole check in process. Girl in restaurant part was nice and efficient. Could be a great course if taken care of better and if Joe was welcoming.

Great course, slow play
While the course conditions and layout are great, there were too many slow groups and no one coming around making sure the pace was being kept. Other than that I had a great experience.

Good Shape
Good shape and greens roll true. You’ll use pretty much every club in your bag. Good track to walk, not too hilly.

Not sure about the print out
Was told I needed a print out the next time I booked through golf now, not sure about what that is or how I get it, tried looking it up with no information on it, only course I’ve played through golf now that’s had an issue and needed a ‘Print out’ in order to play.

I could play this course everyday for the great layout and course condition. You use every club in your bag and have a good variety of challenge along with fairness. I cannot wait to play it again and again.

Milham Park Golf
The course was in excellent shape. Pace of golf was quick, greens ran true and tee boxes were acceptable. This is a great course to practice on. Balls can be lost if you over shoot greens or miss shots to fairways. Course is fairly wide open.
Winter golf in Michigan
We had a February thaw and the temps rose to the low 60's (love this global warming) so my son and I decided to play a round. Course was in incredible shape considering it is still winter here. Pace of play was glacial....5 hours to play 18 but the pro shop tried to work everyone in by alternating back nine and front nine starts. Really nice to have a course that is central to Kalamazoo.
