About
Situated on the southern edge of Kalamazoo, Milham Park Golf Club borders its namesake park. This municipal course is one of the best in the city, boasting some of the best conditions of any of the area's golf courses. Originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1931, the second nine was added as a project under the Works Project Administration in 1935. The course has a traditional layout that is seemingly short by modern standards at 6,630 yards from the back tees. Don't let the yardage fool you, Milham Park offers many holes with good length. The layout is heavily bunkered and there are tall trees along the fairways. Water is nowhere to be found except for a mild hazard that edges along the fourth hole.

The course has great variety
I had worked this course as a mower for 7 years and I have never seen it in better condition. Fairways are wide and the greens are well manicured and receptive.
Oldtime Parkland Course
For an old muni that gets lots of play, the course was in good shape. Odd layout par 35 on the front, 37 on the back. Cool course would play again.
Milham in Country Club shape
Because of the rain this all the area courses are in great shape. Milham Park is well mowed and maintained as well as any country club in the area.
This course is a fun and challenging course with lots of variety
We had a great time enjoying our experience. The staff was friendly and greeted us when we walked in and got us on the course even a bit sooner then we had anticipated which was much appreciated. The course was in great shape; the fairways were consistent and greens were smooth and fun to putt on. This is one of the best city courses around. Thank you to golf now for getting us a great deal and helping our decision of where to play much easier!
Any day on the golf course is a good day
There were traffic jams off the first tee all day. It starts with a par 5 and the clientele are not professional grade, so this is not uncommon for a Friday afternoon. However, I was surprised they weren't sending anyone off the back. Also, my buddies' cart ran out of power on the 18th fairway. At least it was downhill and we were able to push it near the clubhouse before abandoning it. Other than that, it was a beautiful day and the course was in pretty good shape. We all managed to have a good time.
Nice Course
This is a good overall course with a few challenging holes. Minimal water holes and favorable pin placements. Good course for the price.
Enjoyed our round a lot.
We liked the course, it was our first time there. We will go back. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The course was in great condition.
Good course and difficult at times
This course was well done. Challenging at times but still attainable. Lots of beaches. Bring a lot of club because the par 4's are long. Course looks nice but some fairways aren't cleaned up as much as they could be.
Great City Course
Milham is a wonderful course that is cared for well. Has several challenging holes, and enough obstacles to cause a few lost golf balls along the way! :-)
Will become better as the season goes on...
Fairways fair shape hopefully will become better with some warmer weather, greens fast good shape for this time of the year.
Beautiful course with extremely rude staff
A beautiful pristine golf course but an extremely rude staff that will keep me from ever going back

All things considered (course maint probably ended a month ago...), we had a great time playing Milham! The staff there are unbeatable - cordial, friendly and very helpful. Weather was a factor (44*) and it is the winter season, so getting to play at all is absolutely wonderful! And Milham did not disappoint. A hearty "THANK YOU!" to the staff and crew... Always a pleasure at Milham...!
Course was very nice & staff was fantastic
Lived in Kalamazoo for many years, but never played this course for some reason. Was pleasantly surprised when my wife & I played there the other day. Didn't expect great conditions simply based on the date we played (Nov 21st). Course layout was very nice for an older course and the length was more than adequate for both of us (a nice surprise for me). Staff was extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely play several times next year when the conditions are at their peak. Will bring several of my friends that have never played the course and I know they will enjoy the challenge.
