Nice value
For a nine hole course this has a lot of diversity. The fairways and well groomed the greens were excellent. I would recommend this course if you have to get in nine or even play it twice very enjoyable
Find Your Spurs and Go Golf
Enjoyed a wonderful round of golf on a pretty nice day. The course is in very good condition for early spring and it is a beautiful course. It is hilly, with spectacular views of the Minnesota River Valley and the St. Paul and Minneapolis skylines. Although it is not a long course, it is challenging with some steep slopes (power cart recommended), mature trees, and water hazards. It has a wonderful bar and grill and both inside and outside scenic seating.
Fun round with fam!
This was the first time we played this course. It fit us perfectly! Challenging yet fun. Some might be disturbed by the planes flying over, but we didn't take it that seriously. We thought the planes were beautiful. Greens can be a little tricky with some subtle breaks, but they were true.
Fun lil course
If you only got a limited amount of time, perfect. Even if you have the time, worth it. Staff friendly, food is great. The only limitation is it's only 9 holes.
Fun 9 Holer
Weather was cold, leaves every where, fun little course for the deal on Golf Now
First Timer
We were in the area for the Ryder Cup and found this course a few miles from our hotel and decided to give it a shot. This course was in great shape and the greens rolled great!! It's a fun little course with some unique holes, if I had this course in Oklahoma I would play it daily!
Great golf experience
My wife and I played this course while visiting Minneapolis. It is is a very enjoyable 9 hole course. The layout keeps your interest without being overly difficult. The course is by the Minnesota River so the course has elevation changes that provide challenges as well as great views. We played after rainy days so the greens were a bit soft.
The only negative was that it appears some golfers are not conscientious and do not repair ball marks on the greens. There both very fresh and older ball marks.
We intend to play again.
Can be tricky
The check-in was easy and very helpful. The layout was good but a couple awkward tee shots that were doglegs and blind. Need local knowledge to play well here. The creek runs through several holes and gobbles up balls. Smallish type greens but the ran true. I'll play it again. Seen several Turkeys walking by-not golfers ;)
Nice little course
Great value and a quick round. Course conditions were pretty good. Interesting layout kept it interesting. Airplanes overhead constantly but got used to it quickly. Would play there again.
Bring your protective gear!!
I booked this because it was cheap. Early season hackers were everywhere. Slow play and a lot of waiting. Greens were dry and hard. Worst part of the experience is the course layout which puts golfers in harms way on every hole. If you go, keep you head on a swivel or better yet, wear a helmet. Not kidding.
research before you play
Had to play 9 holes twice
I am a member but dissatisfied with price of cart.
I feel the players are usually to slow and don't always let u play through . I also have a hard time getting on due to many tournaments
Beautiful course.
For a short (2,500 yd.), 9 hole course, it is very green, very old with large trees, ample fairways on most holes. Several holes are gimmicky unless you can hit over tall trees or layup, leaving a long play to the green.
The only staff I saw was at check in, no starter, no refreshment cart, no ranger, no one else minding the course. I saw no foursomes, mainly one's and two's.
Decent course, awful staff
Overall, the course was in pretty good shape and has a nice layout. Only one Par 5 (and only nine holes) makes picking up strokes difficult, but the course is pretty short and fairly hazard-free.
My problem was with the staff, namely the guy in the Pro Shop. He was unfriendly to begin with, and acted like we were inconveniencing him when we asked for food from the grill. He may have been irritated with a cook who was nowhere to be found until we paid for our food, but if this was the case he wasn't hiding his disappointment from us. We were the only customers in the grill or golf shop, so I'm not sure how we could have been inconveniencing him.
Then, we arrived at the first tee box with about ten minutes to spare. A twosome walked up, asked our time, and said that they were the time before us, so I said okay and went down to the grill to get some beer for the round. The same man helped us with the beer, no cheerier than before, and asked our tee time. I told him, at which point he referenced a clock on the wall that was five minutes fast and told us he was going to let another group go out before us because we were late. I told him that the people before us were on the box when we came down to the grill, and he claimed they were supposed to be after us. It made absolutely no sense, ticked me off, and by the time we got the beer and got back to the first tee we still had to wait for the group in front of us to clear.
The course was alright for an inexpensive public course, but I won't be going back.
This course is excellent!
Lots of hills and turns mixed with some nice straight-aways! This course has a beautiful view of the city. Staff was friendly and helpful!
Great course
Course is in emasculate condition, nice challenging lay out. Rewarded for good drives, hit it crooked and a big number awaits. Greens were like pool tables, great practice green and driving range will definitely play again
Lost Spur
The course was is good shape. I thinks it's a good course for seniors, women and juniors. Pretty short course.
great course
Great course , excellent food and freindly staff. Fairways were a little dry though.
It does not make sense to critique a nine hold course for being a 9 hole course. This is where you go to play 9 holes, and play 18 if you do not mind re-playing the same holes.
