Very fast paced
I’m not a slow golfer, but we let two teams play through, we’re still bring pushed and it only took 3 hours and 15 minutes to play 18. I’m sure everyone else was familiar with the course, but it was our first time playing it and we couldn’t really relax and enjoy it. Staff was great and course was beautiful.
Pace of play
There was a group of 5 in front of us that would not let us go through. In talking to other golfers there they said this is a very common problem and they are members that are doing it. It was a very slow frustrating golf day for many of your golfer’s yesterday.
Bang bang for the buck
The course was beautiful. Tee boxes were well kept and the fairways were nice and tight. The greens were soft yet fast.
The driving range was limited to 240 yd unfortunately, so if you hit further than that with any of your clubs, you might have to leave them in the bag until you get out on the course. There are some awkward shots from the driving range as the range tea boxes are somewhat in a semicircle and are slightly positioned towards the highway somewhat.
The practice screen was in good shape, even if it was just punched. The sand filled the holes pretty well and the balls rolled pretty smooth.
The golf carts we had the electric one were pretty good. Nice, pep and decent amount of amenities in it and we're in fair condition. Our cart on the other hand died on the 18th hole cuz it ran out of battery charge.
Overall, this is a great course to play. It offers lots of meandering holes that allow for many different shot shapes. The pace of play however, was somewhat slow as there were multiple groups of five or six ahead of us.
A worthy competitor
I play about 30 different courses a year between Florida and Minnesota. This course would be top 10. Not much water and wide fairways. No homes and clean woods to retrieve an errant shot. Big greens and no false fronts. Very well maintained. Greens a little slow due to recent aeration and rain. Fairways are perfect unlike most Florida courses. Definitely worth your money.
Tree line challenge
Fun course. Good size greens. Putted really fast even after a severe rain event the previous night. Great course management to get the fallen trees and debris cleared off fairways and cart paths.
Typical Saturday round
There several large groups of ahead of our 2-some.
18 took 5 hours but we had a fun time.
Excellent greens and fairways
Challenging but fair greens, bunkers raked, fairways plenty of grass.
Straightforward layout, plenty of tree lined fairways. Plenty of tee choices.
