Great but not perfect.
Lots of action playing just after a charity tournament. I felt like Neil Armstrong walking on the moon when we arrived at the greens. So many meteor crators. I believe I got my money's worth out of my pitch fix on this day. Other than a few pitch marks, carts having garage in them when we pick it up, and people riding back into the fairway from the green 150 yards to pick up your drive it was a beautiful day.
I'll come here again because I know it's usually a decent course. This one hopefully was just a fluke, or an outlyer.
Decent
Wapicada is a decent course for the area, and good value for the pricing. Better course is higher price, this one I'd say is in the middle. It's decently easy if you can keep the ball in the fairway, couple nice par 3's and a few short par 4s. Plenty of trees for shade, decently wide fairways, and only a few holes have a real chance of losing a ball. I play here probably 4-6 times a season as I like to change things up often.
Very slow afternoon of golf
Very slow play. Took 5 1/4 hours to play. Waited on every hole. Morning’s are better to play at this course. Won’t play on a Saturday afternoon again.
Great shape
First class golf course plus very scenic. Greens were in great shape as were fairways. We played at 9 AM and we’re done with 18 just before noon Golf Carts are quiet and smooth
Green aeration on back 9
First 9 in very good shape. No one told us the back 9 greens were being aerated and sanded. We met up with the group ahead of us on ten telling us the situation and said they were going back to one. We followed and there was a long backup so we went back to ten. Someone stopped us on 11 and said we should have been told the back 9 was closed. He let us play but we had sand greens to putt on.
Was in good shape
Course was green. better than most courses with the dry conditions. Always enjoy playing this course. would play more often if closer to home. 1hr 20 min drive. Is worth it.
