Disappointing
While playing a twilight round on the West course we were extremely disappointed to be told by a ranger(who was not friendly) to pick up our balls and that we could not finish our round. He did not even let us finish the hole we were in the middle of. This has never happened to me on a golf course, especially when the was still plenty of light left. Also, some of the tee boxes are in rough shape without much grass to put a ball on with so many divot marks. I would find somewhere else to play a round of golf, plenty of other courses available that treat you better.
Course was well maintain
This was my first time playing this course. I enjoyed my round, and I will play here again.
Sub par
Played the South course. A lot of it looked like it had been under water. Pin placement awful. Greens meh. Would not play again.
Great Experience
It was our first time playing here and we really enjoyed it. It’s a nice course and really nice carts, a practice range and green, and friendly staff. Provided some good challenges with the sand traps and water.
My only bit of criticism, which is minimal, was that the ball washers smelled atrocious. And it wasn’t just one of them. Could maybe afford to be cleaned and maintained more frequently.
Many holes we damaged due to recent flooding, many non natural hazards to avoid.
Dirty kitchen
First time playing the course and it rained lightly the night before. Most of the bunkers had standing water and the course does not drain well at all. A few fairways needed to be raked lots of tree debris on the fairway. Greens where in good shape but the reasons outside of he fairways needed a lot of work. We decided to grab a hot dog on the turn and that’s when things got real disturbing. We asked for 5 hot dogs and the bar tender was very rude. We asked what was hot and ready and without a worry she slams a menu down. After ordering the hot dogs she collects the cash and walks to the back . I can still see her picking her eyes with the hands that touched the cash, no hand washing no gloves just bare hands a the buns and puts the dogs together . I talked to management they did not offer me anything. This place isn’t great.
Very nice condition
Course was very nice , greens were fairly fast and true . Haven’t played this course in a few years but will for sure be back shortly.
Buyer Beware
This is a $30 course at best. The bunkers are unkept, tee boxes are uneven & the greens are some of the worst in Macomb County. You’re better off going to the driving range & working on your game then wasting money on a round of golf here.
Overbooked
Tee times need to be scheduled better. Often have 10-15 min waits between holes, with multiple groups backed up waiting to tee off. Course is in decent condition but pace of play has taken a hit over the last few years. Really disappointing when you’re already paying alot
Golf Cart employees need to learn manners
Really dissatisfied with the manners of the employees that handle the golf carts. Finished 9 holes as it started pouring rain really hard. Was already 20 minutes into raining. I saw they had moved all the golf carts inside their garage and they had plenty of space for extra carts. When I pulled up and asked if I can enter the garage to clean out the golf cart and not get drenched under the rain, they replied that they will move it inside and to unload everything outside in the rain, while they are literally 5 feet away in front of me under the roof. Common sense and curiosity to just let us in to unload everything under roof so we can remain dry. But no, these boys need a lesson in manners for their lack of awareness. I actually worked in a similar industry in the past and this type of behavior would not have been tolerated. Teach them the B.E.N. Acronym, Be Extra Nice. Anyway I’m done with my rant. Those employees should learn better!
