good
The course was in great condition and greens fees were very reasonable.
Golf Now Hot Deal!
My husband and I played this course on a lovely November day, and probably SINCE it was a lovely November day, it was quite crowded. However, the course was in fairly good condition (fairways were a bit dried out), but the greens were in great condition and overall it was a great day!
A small golf haven
l have loved this place for 40 years! l am a 61 yr old female and find 9 holes fit the bill. l don't remember ever seeing the course in such beautiful condition. Bit rough and patchy around some greens but l heard their greenskeeper will have them back in shape next yr. Tees and greens looked good. l'll be back!
nice course and surroundings
this is a nice course and relax and enjoy the play.
Nice Course
We played Sept 1st 2016. The course is in really good shape. It has several challenging holes and more straight forward holes. There is water that comes into play on 4 holes. Holes 5 and 6 are doglegs with water. Greens were in great shape along with the fairways. Overall I gave the course a 4 out of 5 star rating. Friendly staff makes checking in a breeze.
great public course
course was in excellent condition even with extreme heat we've had. Greens were also very good condition, proximity to shade at tee boxes made it a very comfortable day.
Fantastic Value When They Post Times
Easy course - easy to keep track of your ball. Never busy for some reason. Great option during the non-peak season. Seems they take times off of online once summer really begins.
January golf in St. Louis
A 60 degree after a week in the teens. The course should have been closed. The greens were frozen. My ball bounced up off the 2nd green like it was a basketball court. Too many blind holes, most people were walking but playing very slowly. It took over 3 hrs to play 9 holes. No marshall to move people along.
Superior course maintenance!
With the leaves departing the trees this time of year it can make ball locating a challenge. The grounds crew at Creve Coeur do a phenomenal job of keeping the course well manicured and leaf free as possible. The course was in great shape and played very well.
A little tricky course
If you only have 2 hours for a quick 9, this course is a good choice. Holes 4-8 are tricky. It's not a long course even from the back. #4 and #7 are the only long holes. There are many blind shots and doglegs. Without local knowledge you may be confused in the teebox. The green has a lot of undulations and is pretty fast. If you don't 3 putt you are doing pretty well.
Worth it
I've played here 4-5 times and will go back. I've played 9 in as quick as an hour during the week. It's fun and in good shape for the cost. No driving range, the pro shop isn't much, and I don't think they have food, so it not much of an experience. Just a good course to get in 9 when the price is right.
Soft spot for this coarse
I learned on this 9 hole coarse over 40 years ago. I've been as low as a 2.4 handicap. Running 10 now. If you get out of here a couple over you have done your job. Smallish perfect rolling greens. A couple of difficult par fours. A good chance for eagle on the par 5 with a good drive up the left side. The best finishing par three in town. Fun Fun Fun...
Not Recommended
I would not recommend playing this course. Like many public courses they over-book their tee times. We had about 12 people at the first tee box when we were scheduled to tee off (Not an exaggeration).
They also did not fill up any of the water coolers on the course (there were only 2). On a 90 degree day, it would be nice if they made sure their coolers were filled.
Overall, the course is crowded which takes away from what otherwise would be a very fun and challenging 9 hole course. I would not recommend this course to anyone. I would especially not recommend this course to beginners. The fairways are tight, so if you can't hit your driver, then you will likely be playing from the fairway of an adjacent hole.
Nice 9
Good little course for the value. Drinks were kind of expensive but I loved the views and variety of the course.
A good value
A reasonably priced 9 hole course. If you are looking for a moderate difficulty this is a solid course.
Way overpriced for the condition...no excuses
Patchy dead fairways, recently aerated greens, tee boxes had crab grass and dead spots. Just overall awful condition compared to other similar courses in the St. Louis area. They have no business charging even half the cost of their standard greens fees for a crummy course in that poor of a condition.
Creve Coeur
Tight fairways and slow game play, but great value. Will play there again.
Great value
This course is a very good value. It has some challenging holes. The course seems to be well maintained. I would recommend playing this course.
Also, walking the 9 holes is easy.
