Practice course
If you want to work out a new club or just learning yourself then this is an ok course. If you enjoy bone dry tee boxes and elderly foursomes that don’t allow you to play through and no course Marshall’s then this is the course for you lol.
Goat track, but...
This place is a goat track for certain. The tees and fairways are very, very poor. The rough is spotty or non-existent. The greens have grass, but they are slow and pocked with ball marks - which says something about the 'golfers' who play there. BONUS: Plays quickly and check-in is easy.
Horrible Course
Needs a lot of work. T boxes are bad, fairways are horrible. The course has potential but it needs a lot of work
What was expected
Some fairways in rough to fair condition, greens are in very good shape and challenging. Layout is a bit confusing for first time players. Club house staff very accommodating. Course needs a marshal to help keep pace of play moving smoothly. Overall a fair value for the price paid.
Golf cart died mid play
Course was dry and management was not helpful. My golf cart died in the fairway on the 8th hole. I walking back to the club house and manager showed zero interest. So, I asked do I get reimbursement or a new cart? Their reply was as soon as their porter gets done helping another group. I waited 20 minutes and then decided to call it a day.
Bad day
I scheduled a tee time and when I showed up their was a tournament and the staff member working told me the tournament was about over. Well let’s just say it took me 5 hours to play 18 holes!! What a waste of a beautiful day. Also, the tee boxes are always dry at this course and no one cares...
Golf Now will be receives a complaint as well.
Same old same old
Dry tee boxes, no beer cart girl, and the course is only good for a practice round.
Horrible course conditions
Let me just start by saying I’ve been playing this course for 2 years now, and it has not improved at all. The tee box’s are like concrete, don’t even think about using anything but good quality wooden tees Because everything else will bend or break. The only time he tee box’s get watered is when it rains. The fairways are either weeds, or dirt, absolutely no soft grass. Zero reward for hitting a good shot. Trees are full of dead limbs, lastly, the greens are filled with divots from amateur golfers that don’t know how to fix a divot. They are also filled with weeds, goose poop, and debris. Every time I’ve played there, the greens are absolutely soaking wet from being over watered. It’s like putting on a water bed. The staff is hit or miss, some are friendly, others are rude and act like they don’t want you there. The pace of play is horrible, I was stuck behind a 6 sum today that held everything else up. The course layout is horrible and only makes sense after playing it a couple times. I’ve been over run by groups that don’t know what they are doing and go from hole to hole completely out of order. I’d only ever consider playing here again if the hot deals are good, and it’s a weekend day morning. Don’t even think about playing there on the weekend. It’s overbooked and takes absolutely forever to play 18. I’ve given this course my fair share of chances over the past 2 years, and have seen zero improves. I will not be returning until I see improvements.
I love to give good reviews on courses, but they have to be earned, and riverside has failed to do so time and time again. Thanks for reading.
The Owner who hates women and children
I played this course when I was a kid. Today I took my son to play and And bond. I have never seen or been treated more unwanted on a course. The owner was rude to my son and warned before even stepping on the course about his behavior. I understand there's etiquette on the course and it's my responsibility to teach him. The owner than made a rude golf joke about women and kids on the course about oace if play. We finished our 2 hours and 5 minute round to see the two groups in front of us still waiting on 10s tee box so we decided to call it a day. The owner yelled at my buddy saying our kids played to slow and they were no longer welcomed on the course. The tee boxes are horrible, greens are burnt out and the fairways are full.of weeds. I will never go back.
