Great value
I think this is one of the best tracks around for the money.
great day
weather was great teh course for this time of year was in great shape. The greens were consistant
Too Slow
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was horrible.
No ranger to keep pace
The course is fun and I’ve played many times during the week. However, playing on the weekend when it’s busy can be very frustrating to anyone that wants to keep a decent pace. We waited for long periods every hole. I called the front office on the back 9 and there wasn’t anything they cared to deal with. After five hours of play I had to leave early and couldn’t complete the last two holes due to another obligation. It also affects any flow you try to have to your game.
Course Condition & Price…
This was my second time playing the course and I won’t be back for awhile. The greens were atrocious and tore up. To my understanding, they became diseased and destroyed nearly all of them causing the conditions to be poor. I am an understanding person and would not blame them for this. However, there was no warning or information about this before I booked, and no one mentioned it when I checked in. Furthermore, one of the holes was actively under construction and you could not play it. Making matters worse, the price was still very high given the conditions of the course which was very disappointing. I would not have played here had I known beforehand. I only found out about their issues with the greens when I caught up to the group in front of me wherein they knew what happened.
Negative conditions
Fungus killing greens, multiple unkept sand traps and untrimmed tee boxes.
can't believe it's happened here
One of my favorite courses and I love to play here, but the greens are in the worst shape i've ever seen them in. If I knew this before I would have probably asked for a discount.
A former great course has gone downhill
What happened? I get we’ve had a hit and wet summer but that’s St. Louis. The course was a mess specifically the greens iof which half were dead and unputtable. Rough and random fairways areas had grass 4-5 inches tall. The tee box area were unkempt. Really a sad state of affairs for what was a great course. Hope it comes back.
Can’t believe the greens were so bad
It pains me to leave this review but I have to be honest. While the tee boxes have bounced back and are in much better shape than the last time I played, seeing the greens in the state they’re in is more than disappointing. This used to be one of the courses my group would be excited to play and now…even with the discount the course provided, I’m afraid it isn't worth the drive or the price paid for green fees. Really hope they’re able to bounce back from the fungus plaguing the greens next season but we will not be returning until next season.
