LedgeStone CC - Rugged, Pretty Tom Clark Design Near Branson
The Good: Ruggedly pretty design from Tom Clark that weaves through lots of forests, wetlands, and houses amidst an upscale resort retirement community near Branson, MO. Incredible elevation changes and difficult even from the fairway due to uneven lies. Decent course conditions and greens that putt well. Impressive clubhouse with full restaurant and meeting area. Strong service for the price. Very good Par 3's, especially with the stone croppings adding ambiance.
The Bad: Course conditions, while pretty good, are not where they need to be for the Benjamin price tag. While the residential community does not overly impede on the actual golf, some of homes take away from the beauty of the course. Greens fees are on-par with other great courses in Branson but should be $10-$15 lower.
The Verdict: Ledgestone is an imaginative golf experience with a design that is difficult but very fun to play. The clubhouse and off-course amenities are superb. One of the better Branson golfing options you will find, especially if you want to avoid breaking the bank.
Best Hole: The down-hill Par 3 15th over water is overlooked by a stone amphitheater. Bring your camera!

Overpriced
First time playing this course. It was a typical Ozark course with lots of hills, making it fairly challenging. Course conditions were not up to our standards for the price of the green fees. Several tee boxes were in need of mowing and weeding. Some fairways were in poor shape and sand bunkers were not in as good of shape as other courses in the area charging considerably less.. Staff was friendly and the marshal was making efforts to improve the pace of play. However, our round was still almost five hours. Green fees were high considering there was no one to help with unloading or loading our clubs. Most high end courses we have played around the US would at least provide this service.
Excellent Course
This course is outstanding! The conditions were excellent even after several days of rain in the area. The layout is great with many elevation changes. There are many holes with a creek that runs alongside the fairway but doesn’t really come ito play. Would highly recommend.
One of Branson's best - very fun holes
Don't forget about ledgestone when talking about all the new Johnny Morris courses and Branson as a golf destination. This is definitely the sleeper. Not quite as new or well manicured as an Ozark National but at way less than half the price, probably just as fun if not more fun to play. Some great hole designs and a cool clear creek that runs through several holes. If you are looking for the crown jewels of Branson, go with buffalo ridge, Ozark National, or Payne's Valley, but if you are looking at best value in Branson look into ledgestone!
A wonderful challenge on a windy day
Enjoyed the day. Staff was very welcoming and made sure I knew the layout and where things were! Nice touch. GPS in the cars, very helpful. Course is tight on some holes, greens putted very true and well, even after aeration.
wonderful streams through the course!
The only reason I did not give a 5* rating on the course conditions, were the fairways were a little thin and well as the tees. I am sure is due to the cold spring!
Unfortunate weather
Unfortunately there had been quite a bit of rain in the week we played. This made the course quite wet and forced a cart path only play. Want to come back during the summer months when I would expect better course conditions.
Very enjoyable course to play.
Scenic course with moderate to tight fairways, several interesting holes of various lengths and difficulty. Greens are generally in good condition and reasonably fast. You'll do well to shoot your handicap the first time you play Ledgestone.
course is a pleasure to play
the course has a very fun feel... holes are spread out and have a good variety of right and left dog legs. each hole brings a different type of challenge and its big valleys offer big numbers for the driver but require accuracy
A must-play golf experience!
I also played the Payne Stewart course, and Branson Hills -- both VERY worthy. Ledgestone was my favorite, as it is just GORGEOUS, and very playable, though challenging.
Wonderful course but placement of your drive is paramont. Need local knowledge to score decent.
Wonderful course but requires local knowledge to paly decent. Drivinin certain areas is paramont.
Course in good shape & challenging
This is a very scenic but challenging course that was in good shape. While some of the holes may appear to be short in distance on the scorecard they do have some hidden surprises. It is more of a strategic course with big drives running into trouble on some holes. Some great golf holes to make for a memorable round. Field does tend to back up on the back nine so don't leave your tee time too late!
Very Senic
Beautiful golf course. Carts had GPS, key for locked restrooms, refreshment cart, and many extras. The course was challenging but fair. Very senic. We were a little dissipointed to find out that they would send single golfers out right behind a twosome. We let two fo them through by the second hole. There also was a lot of noise on the course, weed wackers, chainsaws, mowers cutting roughs and fairways at 4:00 in the afternoon. Great course we would play agin.
The pace of play was REAL SLOW ALL DAY. No marshall to speed up play is crazy.
The pace of play was awful. 5 hours for a short course like this is not acceptable. The guy who was behind the counter was not friendly at all. There wasn't a marshall to speed the slow fools up. The greens were below average. Very nice lay out of course. Very pretty holes.
Must play if in the area.
Must play if in the area - very scenic. Every hole has interesting and challenging features. Beautiful!
Beautiful course.
Beautiful course, superb condition. Not an easy course and lots of hills but many of the hills tended to funnel the ball back into the fairway which was nice. The beverage cart came around four or five times during the round. All in all, very impressed.
Challenging and scenic
Very scenic course with water on several holes and many elevation changes. Fairly narrow fairways but some wider landing/bail out areas. Greens a little tricky to read and fairly large. Very enjoyable.
the course was a great play for the price
The pro at check in was a little rude that was a terrible start, good thing the course was as nice as it was.
Very nice
The greens were in need of attention.
but a very nice course to play.
Great course to challenge you in every way
Played Ledgestone on Labor Day afternoon and was surprised it wasn't too busy. The course has a great mix of holes, but tends to play more to the shorter side. As a player who is long off the tee, I had many holes where I couldn't utilize driver or end up in woods/lakes/OB. Iron play off the tees was key on some holes. Greens were very fast! Only complaint I have is the course appears to be watered too much. On one tee box and on several holes, you walk through mud or squish in the grass. Overall, a fun course with lots of different challenges.
