Owners have given up
We played Friday morning…have not been there since early spring. Course is for sale and it’s obvious that the owner doesn’t care anymore. Fairways were as long as the rough. Most tee boxes were just as long. Greens were the worst I had ever seen. Sandtraps had no sand, were just full of weeds and bushes. Yes it was cheap, but still not worth the drive to get there.
Awful
Overgrown just disappointed shape of the course was very poor greens where terrible I’m sad I paid $42 to play would never play again
Worst kept course I’ve ever been on.
If you’re starting out I would steer clear of this place. I know the deals are cool, you don’t have to pay $50+ to play here. But there’s a reason. The greens aren’t kept at all. Divots and holes all over them. Only 15 holes (which I’ve never heard of). The carts feel like they’re dying the whole time you’re playing. Hard to navigate the course without looking at your map the whole time. Grass was taller on the fairway than the rough in a lot of different areas. If I were drinking with buddies I might have a good time but if ur going to get better don’t come here. You’ll get worse.
Greens aren’t great. Bunkers have brush all inside them. I only paid so cheap because of deals. Definitely wouldn't pay normal price.
Indian Tree Golf Course, Crane Mo
This is a hidden gem, it's out in the middle of nowhere. The course has amazing greens very well taken care of. It's a challenging course. The staff Buffie and Ashley are truly the nicest people. Would definitely recommend taking the drive there and playing the course if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed. They did get new golf carts and have 15 holes open. Hopefully the last 3 will be done sometime in the near future.
Terrible Staff
Played 9 holes on a weekend. There was maintenance being done on some holes the whole day. Made us nervous having people working in the sand pits while we were teeing off, but we were told to play around them. As a result we had to skip a few holes. Had a golf cart die in the middle of the course and had to return it. A lot of the cart paths are gravel and very steep, we had to push the dead cart up a huge hill to get it back. Staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, even downright aggressive. I would not suggest visiting this course to anyone
Way out there
This place is way way out there in the middle of nowhere.... They have been working on it for many many years.... It has honestly gotten a little better but I'm still not a fan... The greens are decent but the course still needs some work.... a few fun holes and a few strange designs. One of my least favorite holes of golf is a par three that plays like 250 or so from the tips straight away and has the hole sign right in your flight path.... I've played it 2-3 times over the years but probably won't be back.
