Willow Metropark Golf Course

Water is not a real problem here. Bunkers are real but not many of them. If you hit straight it is a easy course.If you like dog legs then this is your course.

My wife a above average female golfer had no chance of getting on par 4s in 2 or the par 5s in 3.
The rough was to long could not find are balls. The fairways were 2' high in spots. Not worth the price if it was $ 10.00 No reason for the course to be in that shape. I worked on that course. I don't know what happened to it. Been cutting greens and working on
golf courses for 30 years. It wasn't my best experience. Thanks Stan

Very challenging but not too difficult. Lots of bunkers and narrow fairways. Fun to play

I played pretty bad out there the issue was the wet sand but you can't do much about that ..fun course we will plah this again soon

Very good course, planes loud sometimes, course can`t help that, it`s in a runway path.

Sand traps or should I say gravel traps are horrible.

The price was right. With a little more attention to the condition of the course it can be a real gem to play.

Nice par 71 course. Usually well maintained and fun to play. Watch for the deer and let them play through.

Played here as a foursome this past saturday. The pro shop attendant tried to charge us the course rate even though our team times were already paid so that was a bit off putting. Other than that little hiccup we had a great time. The course was in good condition except for the first fairway which is in need of a complete re-sodding, there was hardly any grass at all there. The greens were in good shape, not a lot of unrepaired pitch marks which was good. If you've ever played any of the metro park courses this one is pretty standard for what you get. Plenty of birdie chances, a few tough holes, and generally nice round to be had if you're just looking to get out and play. I would recommend this course to others and I will be back to play again some other time.

They cut the grass and the greens are in decent shape. However, The bunkers are left to themselves. They need much attention. Bunkers are mostly rocks and clay. The staff wasn't totally familiar with handling golfnow reservations.

Nice pace for a busy Sunday. Greens and bunkers were in very good shape for an August day. Will come back

The course was flooded and therefor carts were prohibited on an grassy area. Because of that we had to do a lot more walking than anticipated even with a cart.
There was a very polite ranger and a very rude ranger. When we pulled the cart up to the car to unload, the "rude ranger" came over smoking and basically rushed us along. We did not appreciate this unprofessionalism.
The "polite ranger" was very helpful and did not make us feel rushed or unwanted.

Do not play this course if it rained the night before...or the week before, wet slop.
2 or 3 interesting holes in the back 9 but otherwise just flat boring slow paste golf.
Foursomes of old people slowing down everyone.... In 4 hours I only played 12 holes.
Life is to short to play such boring courses.
Don't waste a long trip for this one.
If you want to play a good metro park golf course play Kensington instead

I found a great deal on GolfNow.com for Willow Metropark. We went on the holiday expecting slow play but it was not the case. We moved along pretty well and the course was very challenging. It was well worth the money and we will definitely be going back.

Want to go back and play again without the standing water in the fairway's. The course made me leave the driver in the bag on quite a few holes. Greens were really deceptive.
