Been awhile
Had not played at this 9 hole course in almost 15 years. Greens were in good shape for this time of year and the fairways were decent also. Have added a driving range and changed the layout on a few holes. With all the rain it was cart path only which is totally understandable. The cart path needs a lot of work pretty much throughout the course, otherwise a nice course to play.
Fun!
Really nice layout with a variety of teeing grounds and distances to play from. Can be played as a par three or regulation round. Interesting architecture. Long, accurate hitters will dominate this course. One of my go-to courses to play with my 90 year old father. Loads of unrepaired pitch marks. If everybody would just fix 1 or 2 on each green there wouldn't be any!! Nice practice range and green.
A Round with the Fam
Nice nine hole round on a beautiful November day. My 90 year old Dad and my daughter played in our threesome. Appreciated the forward tees for them. Lots of teeing options if you choose to play twice around for an 18 hole round. Tees were in excellent condition, greens were nice but pocked with unrepaired ball marks. Very nice layout and routing with a interesting features. Overall a well maintained facility.
Beautiful
I played this course because I heard that Forest Park is the most beautiful city park in the country. It did not disappoint.
Highlands on 9/29/24
Always fun to golf at The Highlands. Greens and fairways were in very good shape. Golf cart broke and staff rushed out with a replacement.
Rain has been very tough on the asphalt cart paths.
Links course, crowded but nice
Much more challenging than it used to be in AAA days. Flowed well until the lady 3 holes, got pretty backed up. Great views of CWE, also great in that you can bring your kid for free and they can play. They have junior tees also
Not great markings but my 9 year liked playing with me in her first round. Love the kid friendliness, the carts need help- many torn and no videos or other things you get in most courses. A nice city course, you pay for the area but it’s fun!
Prepare to wait
Played The Highlands on Sunday morning. We waited on every tee box. Five-some ahead of us. They were screwing around and were never “ready”. Three hours(nearly) for nine holes. Staff is friendly . Tee boxes are some of the worst in STL. To be fair the greens were nice, fairways in good shape. This is a fun little track. Need marshals on the course. Would be nice to have a roaming refreshment cart as well.

We were late due to traffic on 64 and they did everything to hold our tee time and allow us to play.

Fun 9
Fun 9 that forces creativity with clubs. Fairways and greens in good shape but rough swallowed some balls that should be fine. Enjoyed the short game practice area after the round as well. Will return maybe today

Nice city course with variety of holes in great shape
Fun layout
Really liiked this course. Very nice for senior women. It’s hard to assess conditions since it was fall but will try again in spring. Greens were still nice even in mid November.
