Reviews
The young lady in the clubhouse was gracious whe I suggested the music from the clubhouse was too loud and could be heard on the course and that I hated the eagles
Course in good sgape
Enjoyed the outing with my son. Course met expectations for the money outlay.
Meh...
Every now and then I like this course, but lately the Forest Park courses in general have been terrible. Pace of play is brutally slow, lots of college/young kids that don't respect the rules or play with any etiquette. People looking for balls after their 50yd tee shot for so long that three groups get stacked up on the tee box. No one fixes their divots AT ALL on the FP courses. People taking tee times out of turn, or grouping up two foursomes because their buddies are playing behind them. Drivers honking at you as they pass by. And nevermind the fact that the guy in the "clubhouse" was a complete jerk and couldn't have been more rude. If you take golf even remotely seriously and are looking for a fun 9 holes near the city I'd skip the Forest Park Courses and check out Ruth Park or Creve Coeur.

Great day if golf with son. Course was in very good condition. Played Highlands last week and Hawthorn this week
Nice course, slow pace
I like to play this course every chance I get. However it’s been a very slow pace the few times I have played. I’ll still play as much as possible just never when I’m pressed for time.
A Day in Forest Park
I enjoy playing this course and the course is not too difficult for beginners on a good windy day you might be able to hit the green from the tee box on hole 5!
Anniversary celebration
The staff member was more than accommodating. The couple we were matched with were super friendly too.
Fun course hidden inside Forest Park
The Highlands is a fun nine-hole course that is semi-hidden inside of Forest Park. It is enjoyable to play with a couple difficult shots but is pretty pricey. We paid $27 on a weekday!
The first hole runs next to a road with decent traffic. In addition, it is right by the driving range so plenty of practice balls end up on the fairway and right rough.
A couple of holes have forced carries that are easy for most players but could be challenging for newbies or people who can’t elevate the ball. Like on 1, 2, 7 and the approach on 8.
Conditions were solid and the Zoysia fairways are starting to green up. The greens were good and rolled well. Plus, I made three 15-20 footers! The track is interesting with nice elevation changes.
Again, not sure it is worth the price, though. But the course is a little hard to find inside of Forest Park.
