Played in a scramble here several years back... Like any very small town course, it's nice if you've never left town but not great if you have played a few really nice courses in your life. Fairways needed some work. Greens were decent. It was cheap enough but not the course for me.
Not bad for the money
Course was in kinda rough shape on the back because they had been closed do to weather. Middle of the summer would have been really good. The lady who was the owner apologized and gave us a free beverage because she was sorry the course looked the way it did. Front is a lot better than the back
First time
First time on course. Course was hard to read. No gps or yard markers here! Elevation changes and dog legs made it hard to determine where the pin was at times. Cart paths were rough.
Greens were in fair shape. Definitely have some undulation.
I would play again if I knew I was going to be out that way. Decent value for the money, course staff was very nice. Beautiful vistas and scenery.
course condition
The greens are in terrific condition but the fairways could be improved.
$11 for 18 holes
It's a good thing, I would have hated to pay much more because the course was not good at all.
The best grass greens should be pulled up and replaced with bermuda so they could spend money elsewhere.
The yardages were nowhere close to right...hole number 9 says it's 270 yards and it's uphill. I hit 3 wood pin high, which would've been about a 290 yard 3 wood...not happening!!
But, for $11 each, it's tough to complain!
pretty drive and vety friendly hosts
This course is situated rurally. The drive from Branson is scenic. If you like to have a fast round, this is a good place to go. Hosts are very friendly and the course has a few challenging holes. The driver is not always the best club to use. The fairway has many clovers, not saying that is bad, and the greens were just aerated so not the best to play that day. Overall a course in beautiful surroundings and quite a bit less manicured than those in Branson.
Nice little back woods course
It is by no means fancy. The fairways are grass and clover. The greens are slow but receptive to approach shots. Most of the par 4's are 300 yards or less but there are many trees and hills that require an accurate tee shot, often times with a hybrid. The lady in the clubhouse was very friendly and they provide little coolers and free ice to bring your own beverages.
I wouldn't pay over $20 to play this course with a cart but if I can get a good deal I definitely plan to play it again.
A couple Greens need Attention
Mr. Crab has take over a couple of the greens other than that all is good. Two weeks of rain is when Mr. Crab took over, before that it was GREAT. Fairways are real narrow and if you don't keep it in the fairway you could loose a few balls.
suprisingly great greens
Its a very laid back have a good time kinda place. It has little tee boxes and no fairways.it does however have nice greens that make the average golfers chips and pitches bite. Good place to take the kids and learn the game. You definitely need your foot wedge to move your ball off rocks though or leave your good clubs at home.
beautiful course for the price
Staff was very friendly and honored my Golfnow discount without paper copy (which I forgot). Most all tee boxes required a hammer to drive the tee. Greens were in great conditions for a municipal course. No water was provided on the course. This was noticed as the temperature reached the mid 90s by the 15th hole. I don't think that two Igloo coolers and some ice water will break the bank. All-in-all an enjoyable 18 holes through beautiful countryside. Well worth the price, just don't forget to bring water.
