Great views, stupid policies
We enjoyed the views on the course and was about what we expected as far a play went. It's definitely a nice course to play if you are in the area.
Be aware this course has a stupid policy of no outside food or drinks. Pretty annoying for a casual public course.
Enjoyed the course and views.
This is a tough first 9.,,,,narrow and sloping. Second 9 better. Greens are decent and well watered. Fairways were suffering from a couple hot weekd w no rain. A water cooler every 4or 5 holes would help esp since it was 95 n humid! Staff was polite and helpful. Carts were new and worked well. We got a special deal for playing in the heat ofvthe day-that was appreciated!! We had fun.
Weather beaten
Glad I got the hot deal price, I would been upset paying 55. The pri shop lady was extremely nice and accommodating. It turned out is was a member's course repair today, and many folks were working on the sides of the course. The fairways had lots of bare spots, from previous heavy rain. Also , soft spots and runoff damage was evident. Several blind tee shots on this hilly course. A nice variety of holes, with some beautiful views from elevation. A reasonable inexpensive course for a warm-up round, about an hour from Branson and it's ridiculously overpriced resort courses.
Greens great, fairways terrible
The greens were fast and firm but in great shape. The fairways were terrible. Numerous bare spots, balls hit in the fairway would kick off wildly, etc. Overall for the price it’s hard to complain, but with all the rain this year I’m not sure why the fairway grass is just gone.
This is
This is a great fun course for the $….. they have sustained some damage to the fairways due to severe amounts of rain this spring. They have done some excellent improvements to the pro shop and restaurant. Hope fully they can get the fairways back in shape..
Disappointed
Fairways were in very poor state
Small greens, decent
The fairways are in terrible condition, many with more than a third of the fairway, hitting off of dirt. Only the few par threes had a decent fairways.
I have played this course many times and have never seen it in such terrible condition.
What a let down
Based on the course write-up, I thought the drive from Branson would be worth. This place is a cow pasture. The greens are in good shape but the fairways are dirt, dead grass or crabgrass. Several holes are blind tee shots, which I could live with, if there was a decent fairway to hit to. Lastly, the carts must have been made by Henry Ford and his assembly line
First time
This was the first time I’ve played it after hearing about it from others. Still early in the season so tee boxes and fairways are still brown, but the greens are excellent , rolled fast and true. It was an hour and a half drive but after $10 golf pass credit only paid $13. It’s a tight course with homes but fun track. Wouldn’t mind going back in the summer when it greens up. The two ladies at check in were really nice and friendly. If you’re in the Branson area check it out!
Nice Day
Staff is the best. Course is tight. Tough for new golfers. Greens were good.
