good and interesting layout
layout is fun. good condition. excellent staff in proshop. practice facilities good
Good course, a couple issues
Course is fun to play with a variety of holes. Tee off out of chutes, some elevation changes, some with water, some wide open. Overall a good course. Great condition with the exception of #3 green. Here are the issues: generic pin flags and no daily pin placement charts available. Not that big of problem on some holes, but there are several blind approaches (elevated greens etc). Would be an easy fix for a course that bills itself as a championship course. 5-somes. Course allows them and I don't typically have an issue IF THEY KEEP UP. Obviously the 5-some we followed didn't. If you are going to allow this, a course marshall needs to be deployed.
Great course, fix the flag thing
We have played BH many times over the years and enjoy the course. Course was in great shape, and staff were all very friendly. Consistent over the years in this regard. My only critique: They apparently eliminated the designated flags for pin placement. All yellow flags now. You have no idea if it is front/back/middle etc. On some holes you can obviously figure it out, but on some holes (blind ones) it is just a guess. Lots of courses use the pin placement chart system if they want to go with generic flags. Would that be too difficult? Overall the course was great as expected but sort out the pin thing please.
nice course
2-3 holes are very gimmicky.. & blind shots.
a free sheet of pictures of holes would be nice for newcomers. [a good tip sheet] 1 green a mess. should be back to normal in another year. maybe a touch to hilly. if u don't play with a regular, not knowing the course could add 8-10 strokes to your round.
Fun Outing
My wife and I found this course on GolfNow and decided to give it a try while on vacation to see the Under the Big Sky country music festival. We were very pleased with our decision. Although the round started off with a little bit of wet sprinkles, the weather soon turned perfect. The course was in immaculate condition and the views from the upper part of the course were spectacular. Several times, deer crossed the course, which was also spectacular to see. We were paired with two locals named Dale and Greg and they helped us understand the course layout which has lots of doglegs both left and right. We truly enjoyed our round and we’re glad we found this course.
Good City Course
Course front 9 hard needs water. Back 9 wonderful.
Challenging Course
The course is challenging with some great risk to reward holes and the scenery can’t be beat.
Too many "blind" holes
Holes 1 to 4 are difficult if you have not played here as the Tee shots are blind. Numbers 1,3, and 4 are dog legs left with no indicators as to where to hit the ball. #17 and 18 fall of the side of a severe hillside, Holes 5 to 16 are in the lower portion of the course and are reasonable. Bring lots of balls.
Perfect Fall day for golf
Booked the 'Hot Deal" and was a great value. The greens were aeriated last week and not totally healed. The staff informed us of the conditions and that is what can happen this time of year. The course was not busy so the pace of play was amazing. Great variety of golf holes with yardage, hazards, views. Would certainly return.
Great course, need updated greens aeration info.
While the course was good, we did not know about the course green aeration until we checked-in.
Visiting from AZ
Gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Let me know that I was paired up with 2 locals who were very nice and could help me since it was my first time at Buffalo Hill. He was correct! Dave and Malcom were very nice, excellent golfers, knowledgeable and helpful with local course tips. Course was in great shape, would def recommend to others!
